Hello and Happy Monday!

Many thanks to Marje and Julie yesterday for all your wonderful support. To recap, I'm a newbie, and while Ophie had great numbers yesterday, I was worried (petrified? :-D ) that she will not hold consistent and that she will be in some danger today, as I must leave her alone all day for work.

Here is yesterday's convo.

Her bg +11 is 243. I'm quite comfortable shooting at this number and leaving for the day. Should I be worried?

Good morning :) I just got done reading your condo from last night. You did great!

I'm sure that +11 number makes you feel a little better about today. Don't worry, the more data you gather, the better you will feel.

Good morning Dyana! I hope you and J.D. are well today!

I am so sleepy from staying up, I had to edit my message quite a few times. Every time I looked at it, I realized I wasn't making sense. I've got my coffee and am waiting for it to kick in!

I will test, shoot, and feed Ophie at 6:30, which will be 15 minutes early. I will then have to leave and pray for the best nailbite_smile

I have to do some praying too, sometimes :)

I have asked a neighbor or friend to look in on J.D. in the middle of the day, before, too. I don't know if that is an option for you. When I am worried (which I don't think you should be right now, but I know you are anyway), I leave extra bowls of food out next to the places where J.D. tends to sleep.

She is 215, which is lower than her +11. This seems to follow yesterday's pattern exactly. I should be OK, no? nailbite_smile

The 243 and the 219 are very close. When you take into account a 20% allowed meter variance, they could be the same.
I think you will be okay. And she will be okay, if you leave food out for her to eat when she needs it.

Thank you Dyana! I've fed and I'm about to shoot and jump out the door for work. I've left her 2 bowls of LC wet food.

You are doing an amazing job! :-D I see you probably left for work already, but hopefully you aren't stressed all day :-D
Ophie is a bit like Twice. Likes to be just a bit lower at PS.

While none of us likes to see a bounce, it is normal and I know it makes you feel more comfortable leaving for the day.

I hope you got some rest last night. It was a pleasure helping you. I'm sure well do it again soon :-D

Thank you Kim, Amy, and Marje! I hope you and your sugar babies are all very well today.

Long story, but I came home early and decided to just work here at home for the afternoon. Of course, the second I got in the door, I checked Ophie and she is doing just fine (so I do feel silly for being such a worry wort :lol: ). I've been suck on the phone all afternoon and this was my first opportunity to comment back to you all on Ophie.

Thank you, Dyana, for being there this morning. Such a huge comfort!

So, I am off for now as I have to crunch some more work :sad: before getting kids and dinner.

You are doing a great job :thumbup And everyday it will get a little easier, I promise!
You are also in great hands around here. These people know what they are doing and will get you and Ophie thru whatever it is you need.

Hello Joely and Ophie! I noticed a new name in Lantus Land so I just wanted to pop in and say hello! You're doing great with the home testing and looking after Ophie :-D
 
Just when I thought I was (starting) figuring this all out, she jumped up to 264 at +4 when all seemed so flat for so long.

So, with that, I'm off to bed!
