Give him more hc and add a little karo to it. Test in 20.

Can you get a test by pricking his ear? The Libre sometimes reads lower than they really are. Is he acting fine?

He’s alert enough to be moving his ears out of reach from me. But outside of that he is laying on the bed not doing much. He seems like how he would before bed

im pretty stressed for him... it feels like its been a longer hypo event than last time AND he went hypo so much earlier than last time.. its just all happening really fast..
his numbers have gone down fast too..

Just keep giving him honey/Karo. Syringe a little into his mouth if needed.

i just tried to give him more hc with honey and he doesn't want it. i tried giving him a few temptations inside it and he wouldn't eat them till they were out of the bowl. im assuming he isn't a fan of honey.. his read was just 48 so slight rise!

Syringe feed honey or apply to his lips/fums.

It's possible that the Libre is reading a little lower than a regular meter.
 
what do i do when this isn't even his +5 typical big drop. im terrified he won't want to eat any more hc food.. he was invested in the honey so i think i can get that again.. but to keep this up for hours?! im so nervous
 
He licked honey? That’s unusual. It started early so he should come up sooner. Will he eat a couple temptations?
 
How much time till the +5? Hopefully the HC/ honey earlier in the cycle will stem any drops.

Just keep giving him honey till he comes up.
 
20 minutes post honey still 45.. will do more honey.. im worried he is going to get sick of me feeding him and will start to refuse
 
I can’t believe he’s not going up. I wonder if the Libre is reading correctly. Can you try and prick his ear? We have to assume it’s right otherwise.
 
he is now at 46 from 45 a few minutes ago if that makes a difference..but i think he took a really deep dive and the hc and honey is just barely pushing him back :( :( :( ill try .. see if he lets me
 
It's a good thing that he is not going low. The honey yes keeping him flat. Just keep giving him a little honey every 15-20 mins. If he won't have it, apply it to his lips.
 
havent tried the AT test yet.. he is pretty wide awake and cleaning right now and he's extra alert to his ears.. i just checked him and he is now at 48 which is better

I’d say that is from the honey. I would stop giving any more and just give snacks of low carb food now.
Its possible he might wobble up and down a bit so just keep an eye on the tests and keep posting.

oof i thought i was in the clear for bed haha.. i will keep monitoring.. by what hour do you think its safe to call it bedtime?

We need to be sure he can stay up on his own without food for a couple of hours. So you can try not feeding him and see how he goes. He may still need some more food support. Only time will tell. I think you will be up for a while yet:(
