7 months ago today.... today I will spend time to remember you Mannie, and all those that have gone before you. I miss you guys, all of you guys. It is hard to believe that it is 7 months now since Mannie crossed to the Bridge. Some days I do not know where time has gone. That day is as vivid today as it was 7 months ago. I hope I did right by you Mannie, those decisions are never easy for any of us beans. As I sit here this morning and type this condo I will remember all that you were, in the real world and in the fun filled LL world of adventures that you so loved taking all the kitties on. I thought of you yesterday morning as I was standing on the shore near the RR tracks, and the North Cascades Dinner train roared on by. I cannot remember the number of times the kitties were on that train, heading to the mountains and the snow fields. :-D Good times back then. You be good up there at the bridge. Say hello to your brothers and sisters: Melissa, Chattie and BJ for me. Here's to you big guy: forever in our hearts.

Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (Elsa - lots (!!) please! This bean is so sleepy...), and Happy Cheery Cherry Monday everyone!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Today is CHEERY CHERRY MONDAY!! Lola and Bug are making their cheery cherry pizza pies. It is after all Monday, and that is now tradition! They figure all the kitties could use more, after partying so hard at the Full Moon party. so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot espressos, with beans from deep within the mountain slopes of Africa, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a VENTI Quad cherry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, topped with a cherry whip garnished with candied cherry sprinkles and white chocolate curls. SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of cheery cherry and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized cheery cherries and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! The CHEERY CHERRY CHEESECAKE has been so popular that it is now part of the cheery cherry Monday line-up! as well as cheery cherry frappes! YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! I love cheery cherry Mondays.

I hope everyone had a great weekend, and a good Sunday yesterday. I spent mine at home, with a few local hikes to add some outdoor time to a weekend full of chores and errands and general relaxation recovery time from a very busy week with the boys. We had all sorts of weather, from high winds, to heavy rains to gorgeous sunny fall moments. What a combo! Sunday was an outdoor day for me, at least in the morning. We never made it much above 45, it was for the most part a cloudy gray morning, but at least the rains had stopped. We even got a few sun breaks. I made the decision to go on an early hike through the woods to the shore, in hopes of seeing more of the salmon run. I was not disappointed. This is proving to be a very good run this year at Lund's Gulch Creek. The fish are a-plenty, they are of a good size, and they are healthy. Last night my son and the band he plays with had a show in Seattle. It is always fun to go and hear the band play, especially him. ;-) His GF was there too, as well as her mom and dad. it was nice to have the company: Fallen Angels (photos), and Fallen Angels (videos). Matt, my DS in the lead guitar on the right. I will warn you: it is heavy metal, listener beware. ;-) It is always so cool to hear my DS play. He really does play well.

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   What to say about the kitties.... I bought a new vacuum, as my other one was dying a slow death. I spent the time to put it together yesterday, not tough actually, but what made it take forever was that I had a helper. I ALWAYS have a helper.... Lola did her best to make sure that part A went were part A was supposed to go. She also thought that the box it came in was kinda cool too. Bug and Elsa could have cared less. They watched from afar, trying to decide if I was actually going to turn it on. Which I did, much to their horror. Lola stared at it alot, as it doesn't sound like the old one, as it is much quieter. She eventually decided it deserved what the other one got: lots of whacks, and some serious cord chasing. She is such a silly cat. We tried another brushing session with Lola, OMG - I ran out of bandages.  I will need to bring out the armor I used when I needed to brush Mannie. well, Normalcy in MusketeerVille!

Have a great day everyone! Enjoy your holiday, if you have it off. I'm not too sure what will be here today. One of those days when I shall see what comes to be. I may hike, if the weather holds. Paws crossed that it does.

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN cat_pet_icon

Re: 11/18 LOOSE LIPS: Fishies, cherries, and remembrances...

Beautiful remembrance of sweet Mannie...and I love his tushy shot! I can't believe it has been 7 months, either. Forever loved, forever missed.

LOL on the new vacuum and Lola. She really is a hoot!!! I guess she has the same sentiments about her brush, too  !! I'm actually surprised she fights on that one, since she is soooooo interested in everything! Maybe one day she'll decide the brush is her friend.

Have a great day, Michelle!

Re: 11/18 LOOSE LIPS: Fishies, cherries, and remembrances...

Morning Amy ~O) ~O) ~O) and THX. Me too on that tushie shot. He had the best "tail" ever: that big fluffy pom pom. And thx: yes indeed on the forever loved, forever missed. I so agree on Lola, and the brushing. I winder if sometimes it just more of a "WHAT is THAT!" response, and she's got to stop what she didn't start. I expect that someday she'll think it is cool. :? Paws crossed!

Re: 11/18 LOOSE LIPS: Fishies, cherries, and remembrances...

Good Morning Michelle ~O) Thank you Elsa for the coffee :-D Twice is thoroughly worn out from the FBM Party last night, but I'm sure he will be ravenous when he wakes up!
I love your remembrance of Mannie. Brought tears to my eyes. I really wish I had been here to meet him, but you honestly have a magical way of keeping him alive so it's as if I do know him.
Lola  What can I say...you never cease to entertain
How is Bug's acne today?
Have a great day Michelle :-D

Re: 11/18 LOOSE LIPS: Fishies, cherries, and remembrances...

It's hard to believe it has been 7 months. Mannie was such a special kitty. I think of him every time the kitties have a party. He had such great adventures with the kitties and exploring Nannerville. I love the one picture of him hiding behind the plants.

How funny with Lola and the vacuum. I wonder if she's trying to play with the brush when you try to brush her? I have one that does that.

Re: 11/18 LOOSE LIPS: Fishies, cherries, and remembrances...

Morning Kim ~O) ~O) ~O) THX on Mannie... he was quite the character, a laid back fun loving social kitty. Very unique, right down to his tail. :-D THX too on your comment about how his memory is being kept alive with all of us. He would like that. well, yes (!!) on Lola, omg.... Bug's acne is about the same today. Somedays it looks better, today the same. I need to be more diligent in keeping it clean. ;-) Thx on today: off to hike in a few, rain or shine.
Auntie Kim! You are so welcomes! I so know on the worn out thing. We is too! I am making all me deliveries though! One cannot slack off on that! ~~ ;lsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Morning Carla ~O) ~O) ~O) It is hard to believe it has been 7 months. Me too on the parties, anytime there is a social function. It was so fun to give our kitties this "extra existence", fun times. I often thought they had a better social life than us beans. Always off on the adventures. I too have come fav photos. The one with the plants is one of them. He'd sit in that planter and I'd be out looking everywhere for him. He must have thought it was so funny to see his bean calling and searching and the whole time he was within touching distance, Silly cat! it got to be a game with us: "WHERE is that kitty?"   I too wonder on Lola and that brush. it could all be a game with her. She is such a playful thing, that maybe she thinks she should play back. ;-)

Re: 11/18 LOOSE LIPS: Fishies, cherries, and remembrances...

Good Morning, Michelle,

Mannie's memory was very much alive at the Full Beaver Moon Party. How he would have loved diving into the water to get into the beaver lodge! We miss him very much, but we also know that he is never far away. We must strive to have those "everyday" adventures again. Rusty hasn't been to the tree house in a while now. I think I'll send him over this afternoon. He can bring the party leftovers for the gang to munch on.

Too funny about the new vacuum cleaner. Of course Lola would take to it immediately! Too funny, also, on her reluctance to be brushed. Do you have one of those combs with the round metal teeth spaced pretty far apart? That's what we use on Rusty, who loves to have his coat combed. He never liked us to brush him very much until recently. Now he loves that, too. First we comb, then we brush.

I'm glad you had a good time at your son's heavy metal rock concert. Are your ears still ringing?

Have a lovely day today. Love that pic of Mannie.

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Re: 11/18 LOOSE LIPS: Fishies, cherries, and remembrances...

Morning Michelle, ~O) ~O) I decided it was time for some of Elsa's coffee and Bug and Lola's Cheery Cherry pizzas. So glad I stopped by to see this sweet remembrance of Mannie. What great parties he hosted and the food, too! What a great pic and sweet remembrance. Oh I love his tushy, too. What a beautiful angel. Hard to believe it's seven months. Always in our hearts when we lose one of these precious angels. I can just see him, Maggie and our other GA kitties basking in the sun and running.

Sounds like a fun weekend with your walk at Meadowdale and watching the salmon run. Gorgeous pics of your hike and neat pics of your son and his gf. For some reason I could not load the videos. I've had a time lately with my computer and think I have a virus. I hope it's not my hd again. Would give me a reason to update if so though. Silver lining.
Elsa, many thanks for the excellent coffee and for my neighbors, too. I'll take three cheery cherry pizzas, luv ya, Auntie Ann
Oh how funny with Lola and the vacuum and wanting to help. The cord is a play thing to her.
Have great Monday. Michelle, and I hope the weather cooperates for a hike or walk. We actually had some rain last week, and chilly weather in the mornings, 50 degrees! Scritches and hugs to Elsa, Bug and Lola from us.

Re: 11/18 LOOSE LIPS: Fishies, cherries, and remembrances...

Hi Michelle,
Such a sweet remembrance of Mannie ♥ I wish Hoot and I were around to get to know him better.
Our kitties do like to help us with things, don't they
I hope you get a nice walk in today
I couldn't open the video either.
Have a great day!

Re: 11/18 LOOSE LIPS: Fishies, cherries, and remembrances...

I can't think of the Board without thinking of Mannie. We all mis the LL Ringleader too. He will always be in all our hearts.

Auntie Michellebean? WE's all coming to the tree house to remember Mannie. Did Rusty say that we saw him through the veil last night? He looked super kewl! I can come in and sits in your lap and tell you all about him! You had a late night too! We boths needs a little quiet time! -- Tess, missing her BFF, Mannie

Elsa, thanks for the early delivery, but Tess swiped most of it. She said she had to wake up to drive the bus up to your place. Can you send a couple extra Cheery Cherry Frappes home w/ her? And tell her paws off! -- Auntie Annbean

Re: 11/18 LOOSE LIPS: Fishies, cherries, and remembrances...

Afternoon Michelle - didn't quite make it here this morning. ~O) I think all of us here think about Mannie whenever there is a kitty party, coffee to be served, fur to be brushed  , fun times to be had. It is hard to believe it's been as long as 7 months ago. Thank you for helping to keep his memories going in LL. That pic of his tushie is so endearing.

Good luck with the new vacuum - I hope it knows to stay away from the nanner pile.

Re: 11/18 LOOSE LIPS: Fishies, cherries, and remembrances...

Hi everyone! WOW, and thanks for all the visits! I did indeed head on out on a hike. Well, more like a walk, but I did get out. I have been meaning to check on a re-done trail here at Snoqulamie Falls. We had a small window this morning, in between weather systems, so I took a chance and went over to the falls. SO much fr that weather window! I think the weather guys forgot to look out the window.... What a wet, but glorious day. I went to the falls today to see the new river trail that was reopened a few months ago. It sure is different from what I remember from ages ago... It is a very nice, easy to travel trail, geared for families and the masses. There still is river access, but it is limited. Of course the river is running high right now, so I expect that when that is not the case that more of the river banks will be accessible from the trail. I had a great time, even though I was dripping rain by the time I left. Thank anyone for rain gear.  I think I did about 4 miles today, climbed just short of 600 feet. The river trail itself is very short, maybe 2.0 miles round trip. I will post the Picassa link in tomorrow's condo.

Hi Ella,I will smile at the thought of the beaver lodge. I know all those kitties would love to be diving into the water just to get to the lodge. Thank you so much for your thoughts on Mannie. It's nice to know that everyone still remembers him. I agree that he is never never far away. Be sure and tell Rusty that the tree house is waiting for him. Elsa, Lola and Bug are up there getting everything all set. They'd love to have Rusty and rest of the kitties come over for the say. One kn ows how much those kitties love the party leftovers!I so agree on Lola and the brushing. I have all kinds of combs, brushes, this and that, you name it. I think in a way she just assumes this is playing and we all know how she is when she plays. I just hope it will change over time, ad UI can just get her brushed without all teh paws and the fangs.  . And yes on the concert! Ears are still ringing just a tad! But it was fun. Thanks to on the pic of Mannie. I always like that one.

Hi Ann, I'm glad you stopped by too. Elsa has coffee for you, Lola and Bug have lots of cheery cherry pizza pies, all ready for delivery. It was fun with the parties in the kitties. Thanks to on the photo of Mannie. I always loved his tail - he had the most unique, and pretty colorings on his tail area. I know it is hard to believe its been 7 months. Me too one of the other kitties and Maggie. I can see them all just having so much fun basking in the Sun running and playing. The weekend was good, watching the salmon is always a treat. Thanks on the pics of my sons concert. I don't know why you couldn't load videos. I will have to look into that because there are a few others that said they could not load them also. I'm not too sure why. Thanks on today. I did get out - it was wet walk. A good time though. And I will pass on the scritches and hugs to Elsa, Bug and Lola.

Hi Pam, I wish you could have been around then too. The kitties had such a grand time. And yes they do! Ssure do love to help out don't they. Lola is just into everything. Thanks on today. I did get out for a nice walk. It was a little bit wet but it was nice. Sorry on the video I don't know why that they will not load for you guys. I will have to look into it.

Hi Sienne, many thanks. I know he is forever in our hearts of all , especially in those of us here at home.

Hi Ann, many thanks, you are too kind. It's kind of funny when you say LL ringleader. In a way he kinda was, wasn't he? I can still see all of those adventure so clearly. One of my favorites was with the cheese factory in Pike Place Market. I don't think I'll ever forget that one, and the photo that went with it: our cheese swimming kitty. They were good times.
Hi Tess, I am so excited that you and all the kitties are coming to the tree house today to remember Mannie. He would be so happy to know that people are back using his tree house again. How cool you guys saw Mannie thru the veil last night? I am so glad that he looks super kewl. And yes please come sit on my lap and tell me all about him. I would love to hear what he had to say and what you saw!. Love you bunches Auntie Michelle
Auntie Ann - You are so welcome on the early delivery. But what???? TESS!!!! She swiped all of it? Oh NO!    Well she did have to bring the bus up to our place so I guess I will have to come back and bring you some extra cheery cherry frappe's. I will be sure that she does not have any herself okay? I will tell her paws off! Elsa lil BIT, kitteh barista

Hi Wendy, no worries on making it in the morning. I was half asleep anyway! It's been a long night last night. And thank you so much on your thoughts on Mannie. All those parties, adventures, coffee sure were alot of fun. I know, it is hard to believe its been 7 months I. I have to look at the calendar and think wow it has been that long. Seems like it was just yesterday. And you're welcome. Thanks too on the photo. It has to be one of my favorite photos. He had such unique bottom if one could say that: fluffy pom pom. Thanks on the new vacuum too, and that nanner pile! MAJOR OFF LIMITS! Its like it didn't want to go there. I can imagine who is orchestrating that!

ETA: ON THE VIDEOS. When you open the link, be sure and click on the "all photos" button, upper left area. Then the videos will display. Google is just being weird....

Re: 11/18 LOOSE LIPS: Fishies, cherries, and remembrances...

What a sweet condo and a great way to remember Mannie. We still have wheelie marks in our driveway from the big guy b :-D Big hugs today and always Michelle!

Re: 11/18 LOOSE LIPS: Fishies, cherries, and remembrances...

Ah, can it really have been seven months? We miss Mannie too and think of him often, his tushie is one all manx kitties envy. We try not to show his bum photos to our civvie Tillie, she is the queen of everything, but not the king of tushies like Mannie. I never heard about the train trips and now, since Zener read Mannie's remembrance condo today, he wants to go on a train trip to see Sandy Claws. Mannie is furever in our hearts.

Re: 11/18 LOOSE LIPS: Fishies, cherries, and remembrances...

Hi Michelle,

Such a loving tribute to Mannie. He left not long after Cleo & I joined, and I remember the heartbreak that came through this board when he passed. It gave me such a strong feeling about FDMB really being a family~ Time has flew by.

How exciting to watch your son perform live - you have a talented guy :-D
Hope that Lola learns to enjoy some brushing, she has such a beautiful coat. That is one of Cleo's treats, a nice brush brush. She sometimes comes out when she hears the accessory drawer open!

Have a wonderful night!

Re: 11/18 LOOSE LIPS: Fishies, cherries, and remembrances...

Ahhh!!!! There's the video's. I thought it was my computer buggering up again  Wow on your son and his band! They are really good! You must be so proud Michelle :-D

PS: That is my kind of music! Big metal head :-D

Re: 11/18 LOOSE LIPS: Fishies, cherries, and remembrances...

Hi Melissa - hey, THX. yupp, been thinking about Mannie alot, for whatever reason. All good things though. OMG, and a big HAHA    on the wheelies marks on your driveway. I hadn't thought of that in a while. That was way too funny. Those boys sure did love their wheelies. THX for the hugs. :-D

Hi Anne - yupp, 7 months. sure doesn't seem like it has been 7 months. so weird.... LOL on his tushie. I LOVED that tushie, that corkscrew fluffy pom pom that he used to twirl in circles. funniest damn thing!  too funny on Tillie. those train trips were a relative new thing they did, I think, hard to remember. one of those what adventure is new? At that moment that train went rumbling by, so the kitties were off on a train adventure. That one kinda stuck, right down to Ollie and the train whistle. You tell Zener that that train will indeed get him to see Sandy Claws... it goes once or twice a year. ;-) And THX: forever in my heart too.

Hi Jane - THX n Mannie. THX too for your thoughts. It was such a sad day in LL. the whole two weeks prior to his passing were. I knew it, tried to down play what I knew was inevitable, but I think people could read between the lines... And you are so right about it feeling like family - that is what I felt for those two weeks prior. my family was there for me. Won't ever forget it. -- THX on my DS and the live performance. it really is so fun to go. He plays so well. I will hope that Lola will like the brush someday as much as Cleo does, as you are right on that too: her coat is gorgeous, and ever so soft. I would like to keep it that way. so... LOLA: please let me brush you.... ;-)

Hi Kim - nah....not your computer, just google and their new ting: they highlight only a portion of the photos, so one has to tell it you want everything. Who would have thunk that it would hide the videos.... Shesshhh! THX on the band - I am proud of that kid. He is 100% self-taught, plays for the love of playing. and he is darn good. I miss the night after night of playing and practice when he still lived at home. Often it was the same hour after hour of a rift until he was satisfied. Crazy, but i do miss it. They had a good show last night, all the guys played well. and KUDOS TO YOU! A metal -head! YES!!!!!!!
