7 months ago today.... today I will spend time to remember you Mannie, and all those that have gone before you. I miss you guys, all of you guys. It is hard to believe that it is 7 months now since Mannie crossed to the Bridge. Some days I do not know where time has gone. That day is as vivid today as it was 7 months ago. I hope I did right by you Mannie, those decisions are never easy for any of us beans. As I sit here this morning and type this condo I will remember all that you were, in the real world and in the fun filled LL world of adventures that you so loved taking all the kitties on. I thought of you yesterday morning as I was standing on the shore near the RR tracks, and the North Cascades Dinner train roared on by. I cannot remember the number of times the kitties were on that train, heading to the mountains and the snow fields.
Good times back then. You be good up there at the bridge. Say hello to your brothers and sisters: Melissa, Chattie and BJ for me. Here's to you big guy: forever in our hearts.
Good Morning LL!!
(Elsa - lots (!!) please! This bean is so sleepy...), and Happy Cheery Cherry Monday everyone!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Today is CHEERY CHERRY MONDAY!! Lola and Bug are making their cheery cherry pizza pies. It is after all Monday, and that is now tradition! They figure all the kitties could use more, after partying so hard at the Full Moon party. so. well. anyways.
Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot espressos, with beans from deep within the mountain slopes of Africa, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a VENTI Quad cherry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, topped with a cherry whip garnished with candied cherry sprinkles and white chocolate curls. SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of cheery cherry and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized cheery cherries and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! The CHEERY CHERRY CHEESECAKE has been so popular that it is now part of the cheery cherry Monday line-up! as well as cheery cherry frappes! YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! I love cheery cherry Mondays.
I hope everyone had a great weekend, and a good Sunday yesterday. I spent mine at home, with a few local hikes to add some outdoor time to a weekend full of chores and errands and general relaxation recovery time from a very busy week with the boys. We had all sorts of weather, from high winds, to heavy rains to gorgeous sunny fall moments. What a combo! Sunday was an outdoor day for me, at least in the morning. We never made it much above 45, it was for the most part a cloudy gray morning, but at least the rains had stopped. We even got a few sun breaks. I made the decision to go on an early hike through the woods to the shore, in hopes of seeing more of the salmon run. I was not disappointed. This is proving to be a very good run this year at Lund's Gulch Creek. The fish are a-plenty, they are of a good size, and they are healthy. Last night my son and the band he plays with had a show in Seattle. It is always fun to go and hear the band play, especially him. ;-) His GF was there too, as well as her mom and dad. it was nice to have the company: Fallen Angels (photos), and Fallen Angels (videos). Matt, my DS in the lead guitar on the right. I will warn you: it is heavy metal, listener beware. ;-) It is always so cool to hear my DS play. He really does play well.

What to say about the kitties.... I bought a new vacuum, as my other one was dying a slow death. I spent the time to put it together yesterday, not tough actually, but what made it take forever was that I had a helper. I ALWAYS have a helper.... Lola did her best to make sure that part A went were part A was supposed to go. She also thought that the box it came in was kinda cool too. Bug and Elsa could have cared less. They watched from afar, trying to decide if I was actually going to turn it on. Which I did, much to their horror. Lola stared at it alot, as it doesn't sound like the old one, as it is much quieter. She eventually decided it deserved what the other one got: lots of whacks, and some serious cord chasing. She is such a silly cat. We tried another brushing session with Lola, OMG - I ran out of bandages.  I will need to bring out the armor I used when I needed to brush Mannie. well, Normalcy in MusketeerVille!
Have a great day everyone! Enjoy your holiday, if you have it off. I'm not too sure what will be here today. One of those days when I shall see what comes to be. I may hike, if the weather holds. Paws crossed that it does.
