Paisley has been doing so much better interacting with the other cats recently, especially Willow. Just as I was getting her AM shot stuff together she attacked Willow. I ended up getting the spray bottle because she would have hurt me if I'd tried to stop her. I really had to spray her. Now Willow's freaked out again. I'm stressed. Her BG is way up.

I did switch food to Friskies Special Diet (5%). I didn't realize how low in protein (34%) and high in fat (61%). I just remembered it was low carb. I don't know if that could be the problem with her BG and behavior. Next time I feed her, I'll add some of the ground muskrat. It's low in fat, similar to rabbit, and high protein. That will increase the % protein without adding much fat and no carbs. When I go into town Thursday I'll get more Fancy Feast an go back to that.

I'll be doing her +2 in about 45 minutes. She'll get some egg and meat for a snack at +2.

In the meantime, I'm going to watch an episode of The Dead Zone on Netflix and try to calm down.

Never thought I'd be so glad to see a 297. She spent the last two hours in her room. Scottie was in there sleeping already which wasn't a problem for Paisley. She got her eggs and meat after her +2 test and scarfed that back. She seems to be feeling a bit better. I think the high BG was a big part of the problem. We'll tweek the food and see if that helps. Hopefully she'll come down from this and get back into the blues and greens. I really want this reduction to work.

Oh no, kitty war! I hope Paisley forgives Willow for whatever transgression she imagines occurred and settles down. Hopefully when calm returns the lower bgs will too.

Fed Friskies Special Diet Turkey & Giblet mixed with ground muskrat just before +4, when I left for town.

Picked up a case of FF. Fed about 1/3 can after +8.5 test. Now just monitoring. +11 is in 1 hours. Going to go test again.

Still hanging in there. No increase in numbers from feeding after +8.5 test. At least she isn't dropping.

It would be better to have Paisley surfing in the 60s. The 40s is a bit too low - there's no margin for error. A bit of HC to bump things up would be good.

Sienne, Last time she was in the 40's and I gave some HC, I was told that the 40's was ok or I would have given a little HC tonight. Her AM shot is in 1.25 hours. So just go ahead and give her a little now? How do I figure out her AMPS then, if it is food spike or what?

At this point in time, I would not. At +11, if you give her HC, you could be influencing her PS number and you don't want to shoot a food spike. She needs to rise a bit more before you shoot. I need to look at her SS and see what the lowest number you've shot is. BRB.

Looks like the lowest you've shot is a 96. Let's hope she comes up between now and PS. Can you post her +12 number please? Don't feed. Let's see if she rises on her own.

If she doesn't, how long can you stall Lylene?

I'll check back in on the hour for your +12. Think we'll let Sienne go to bed, k?

Her +12 was 97. She had a couple bites of Wellness at +11 that she grabbed out of Scottie's bowl on the counter. I didn't catch your post and already gave her her AM shot with plans to monitor her closely. Sorry.

ok...do you need me to stay up with you or are you ok? She might bounce after these low numbers today.

ETA: keep forgetting you are experienced with all this. Good luck and hope you get some rest.
