Ahh, feels so good to open a condo! :lol: I was trying to wait til Friday to post, so at least it would be a 2 week anniversary, but I just couldn't wait. :lol: :lol: Muffin is just feeling SO good, I had to share with my family here. With official OTJ taking over, and her quirky mysterious appetite leveling out some, all schedules have gone out the window here. Muffin regularly goes outside in the morning and eats some grass. Some days it comes back up, some days it doesn't. I'm sure this is due to her not eating overnight, but I cannot get her to do that. If I leave food out overnight, it's still there in the am, or kibby eats it. (I can tell because Kibby will lick the bowl clean, Muffin won't). If I get up in the middle of the night to feed her, she stays in bed wondering what is going on, but all 3 of the civies come running to the kitchen for food. So, grass in the am has become the standard.
She sleeps in the bed almost every night with the drooler and me. Usually at the foot of the bed, that's always been her spot, but sometimes in the morning she moves up next to me, on whatever side the drooler is NOT. :lol: She's the only kitty I get, the others have simply moved back onto the couches downstairs. Muffin gives me quite a lot of purry lap time these days, too. I couldn't ask for anything more!
Her appetite is becoming more normal, at least I'm seeing somewhat of a pattern these days. She doesn't eat for a bit after the grass, which makes sense. I've put the feeding syringe away now, and she pretty much gets fed whenever she asks, still small meals at a time. Occasionally I still use 1/4 tab cypro, but even that has been tapering off. It would get her eating well for 2 days and then I was giving another 1/4 tab, but she hasn't had any for 3-4 days now and is eating on her own. I don't even have to blend her food anymore, I just mush it with water using a fork. She's decided Special Kitty Super Supper is HER flavor (for now anyway) so I've decided to just let her eat that. If she decides she no longer likes it, I'll introduce something else (I have a stack of various cans set aside for her to try) but so far this is working for her.
She plays more now than I EVER remember her playing in her life, (except as a small kitten) and more vigorously too. This is what I really wanted to share. She plays in the morning, she plays in the evening, she plays at night, she sometimes even plays mid-afternoon. She seems to have taken to a catnip heart that's been around here for quite some time and she bats it around, chases it across the room, little paws slipping and sliding on the laminate floor. She races up and down the stairs into "her" room (the testing room). She sits on the desk and swings at the drooler, I'm constantly having to break up skirmishes between the two of them. It quite often brings tears to my eyes to see her like this. I don't think she's ever felt this good in her life. So I just can't say it often enough, loud enough, or mean it more:
