Hello Lantus Land!! Marjorie and Gracie here on behalf of the LLEF Committee.
As you all know, Roni, Brad, and Moonie were displaced from their home by Hurricane Sandy. DCIN ran a chip-in and collected funds to help with supplies needed to care for Moonie who is not only FD but has hyperthyroidism. Moonie became gravely ill on 11/13 and had to be taken to the ER:
11/13 ER Visit
DCIN ran another chip-in and FDMB and many of you in Lantus Land so generously donated enough to cover the ER visit.
Subsequent tests indicate what the vets believe is lymphoma, mast cell tumor, or adenocarcinoma.
11/15 Vet Visit
Moonie does need medications to keep her comfortable which will, hopefully, give her much more time with Roni and Brad so she can return to her home when it is restored from the hurricane damage. Additional vet visits will be required.
LLEF will gratefully accept any donations toward this worthy cause. The link for donating to LLEF via Paypal is LLEF4kitties@gmail.com.
(Please use the "Personal" tab, and select "Gift". Please also indicate your FDMB username in your comments).
If you prefer, please visit DCIN's chip-in and follow the link to donate through DCIN. (Note that donations to DCIN are tax deductible, while LLEF is not able to offer tax receipts).
DCIN Chip-In for Moonie
Whichever option you choose, all donations will go toward giving Moonie a chance to spend many more happy days with her beloved Roni and Brad. They have all been through so many challenges in their life since Hurricane Sandy including displacement from their home. I ask that you consider donating whatever amount you can to this very worthy family.
Thank you for your support, Lantus Land. And please continue to send Roni, Brad, and Moonie amazing LL miracle prayers.
