Today wasn't a BG testing day, but Ivana was at the vet for her blood pressure re-check after being on the Amplodipine for 10 days. And the news is....... <drumroll please> it's working!
Her BP before she started the meds was 200-220, and this morning it was 148-150. Taking into account that this was at the vet, that's pretty much normal. So we'll keep plodding along with her morning squirt into her ear, and she's due for more blood tests to re-check her kidney values in 6 weeks. All in all the vet is super-happy with her health at the moment, and so are we 
This photo was taken not long after we got home, mid-groom session. Due to the morning's events I am not the most popular person at the moment, as you can see from that expression... (Just leave me alone for a little while, mummy.)
