11/17 Herman amps 81 +6 70 pmps 104 +4 92

Wow, now that's a serious AMPS! It's funny how we get used to better numbers, I'd be terrified to shoot that number, but for you it's becoming just routine :cat: which is the BEST news!
Honestly it’s the “shoot low to stay low”, I didn’t comprehend it earlier on but I do now. It’s more stressful to shoot a higher number and have to be prepared for a steep (potentially dangerously low) dive and then a bounce vs the shallow curve from a low pre shot once numbers stabilize. I completely empathize with all the sugar kitty parents dealing with high numbers and bounces…been there, was starting to feel hopeless. It’s hard. And to those dealing with additional health issues on top….so hard. Such perseverance and needs to be rewarded!. :bighug::bighug::bighug: Big hugs to you and Chewie!

Right back at you and Herm :bighug::bighug::bighug: It's so inspiring to see him get ever better and to see you become more comfortable. I don't want to jinx anything so I won't say more :D:D

I don’t think calipers will be needed. The drop dose is easy to measure and the only tough one is 0,10. Just takes a little practice counting drops. So close. I’d start counting drops soon.

Well that's very exciting.......but (leave it to me to have a but )....there is a chance my +6 was wrong. I just took a +8 and it is barely green.
I have been getting some pretty wonky numbers lately and have been doing a stupid amount of retesting (poor herm!) but I did not restest that +6 (70).

As an example this morning amps was ( I will use mmol just for example purposes saving me converting it all) 3.2, retest 4.6, retest 4.5 - used 4.5. This happens alot - I always retest anything 3.9 and below - but now I am thinking I better retest anything below 5.5 because my understanding is we are trying to keep him under 5.5/100 always with only occasional blips up to 6.7/120 and with my meter discrepancies this is very impactful. Note: that I just unpacked a new glucometer and will start using it in case it's a battery/age issue.

Almost green ;) I feel like we are ever so slightly inching upward in bg’s …we shall see! Go herm! Trying to look at the overall pattern instead of fixating on individual numbers but it’s hard. That said…. Herman had a big boy appetite and now he is playful with a capital P. Jumped up on to feeding station without using his booster stool for first time in ages! :p
