Happy Monday and sending out tons of healing vines to all in need!
LBG's coat has always been the softest ever...ask Josie. So i don't know if it's the vitamin E we've been giving her for her liver or what but her coat is just so luxurious that I can't keep my hands off her    Good thing she doesn't mind familiarity. She makes chinchilla fur seem scratchy. It's been pretty chilly for AZ in November and she and Tobey have been such snuggle bunnies and I pet and pet her until i fall asleep because she is just so darn silky soft. I'm going to rename her LBSG (little brown silky girl   )
Last night I think I did not get the needle in the right place...perhaps not deep enough and so I think that is one reason she went up so far. Not happy about this fast trip back down but Mike used the Soulistic Good Karma and the food/gravy combo worked like a champ. PLUS she loves it PLUS it's low calorie. We're hoping this is a sole dive cycle and she flattens back out.
Sorry I was MIA yesterday but my mom had to go to the ER yesterday morning due to an extremely painful headache. She's been having them and was dx with migraines but evidently the one yesterday was so bad that she asked the aides to call the ambulance. My mother hates the hospital so us four girls knew it had to be pretty bad for her to ask for an ambulance. She also said she had a stiff neck. When they started running tests, they found a super high WBC. With the headache + stiff neck + high WBC, they decided they needed to test her for meningitis. Unfortunately, because of all her back surgeries, she has a lot of scar tissue and they couldn't successfully do the spinal tap so they started her on IV vincamycin and decided to try again today when the infectious disease specialist and the radiologists could do it. She sounded pretty good this morning but there was a huge mixup between the doctors and the hospitalist thought they weren't going to do the spinal tap so he had the nurse give her some meds that now prevent the spinal tap from being done for 48 hours.   Anyway...I've been keeping in close contact with my sisters who live there in case I need to go but so far, she is better; they have the headache under control and vincamycin is one of the strongest a/bs. Of course, IF she does have meningitis, the a/b might not help because, as I have learned, there are five types of meningitis and only one really responds to that a/b. However, given how much better she seems today, I doubt she has meningitis. I just hope they figure out where the infection is before they send her home.
Hope you are all having a great day. Big hugs.
