Yesterday's Condo

Gabby is not amused by the prospect of my leaving. Last night, while I was trying to pack (operative word -- trying), she kept climbing into my suitcase and making herself very comfortable. The morning, she was sitting next to the suitcase pouting. I used to love to travel -- not so much any more. I'm a wreck when I'm away even though I have a great catsitter..

(((Sienne))) I totally relate to what you are thinking/feeling. It is so good that you have a good PS for them, but still...
it is just so hard to leave them. You know that they will be fine. But, like Gabby, Raja sits in the suitcase and knows too well what it signifies. They know. :sad:
I hope your time goes quickly...and that it is a productive and good trip for you....
We will miss you too! :sad: So yeah, we are pouting along with Gabby.

awww .. I can't imagine how you feel .. we used to worry about leaving before mocha was diagnosed and that was just for a quick weekend away .. I don't think I could do it now, but like you said, you have a great cat sitter, and I know gabby will be just fine while you are gone .. .she'll miss you, but that just means extra loving when you get back! Have safe trip ...
 
Poor Gabby, she will miss you, but she will be fine. Have a good trip and try not to worry too much.

Tess used to do the suitcase thing till we started to get sneaky and pack in the guest room, out in the garage. I think she is starting to suspect though.
 
They are very astute and certainly let us know when they don't want us doing something and talk about GUILT!! Even my unamommer can't guilt me like the cats can :lol: You have taken all precautions and gotten a great petsitter so have a wonderful trip...enjoy the food and SF and get some rest. You deserve it.

we're pouting just like gabby...because the thought of watching tv while the S & G show is on temporary hiatus is too depressing!

Have a great trip, Sienne. I know what you mean about traveling - I used to like it too. Gabby will be a good girl for you while you're gone. We'll miss you, though.
 
I know you'll worry but I hope the sights/sounds of SF will distract you. Hope you have a great trip. You know they do night tours on Alcatraz now - spooky, but in a thrilling kinda way. We always ride the BART from the airport ($5), it puts us out right at our hotel.

mmmm - the food, the bread, Chinatown, I'm so envious.

Gabby and Gizmo - be good while mama's gone. And don't answer the door for strangers.
 
I'm in SF until Sunday morning. I wish I could say that I'll have time to sightsee (there's an exhibition from the Musee d'Orsay at the de Young museum) and find lots of interesting restaurants. I'm very involved with my professional organization -- on their Board of Directors -- and my time here will be spent in committee meetings. I could have stayed longer but I'd have been totally nuts worrying about Gabby. As it was, I forgot my ID, realized it about 10 min. into the cab ride to the airport, turned around and, thank goodness, got to the airport on time. I also realized I forgot to leave a check for my DPS. (I love on-line banking -- the check's in the mail!) I'm not sure my head is glued on.

Better get your head glued back on, lol...but try to take it easy either way on your down time.
Gabby will be ok, Gabby will be ok, repeat after me! :-D
 
Hope you get to relax a little while at the conference. You and Gabby will miss each other but you'll be back soon. Didn't get to your condo this am so didn't know you were going. I was suspicious though when you didn't weigh in on Powder tonight. Missed you. Have a good trip.
 
Ooh. Shame. No time to do a wine tour? At least Ghiradelli Square, right? I mean, that would be sacrilege.

And I hear there is insane good chinese food in Richmond (richmond hill...summin like that).
