Yesterday's Condo

Dubs is snoozing away having had 1st breffis and Herbie is snoozing in her room with DS. House is eerily peaceful. It just occurred to me last night that it's going to be oh so much fun with a kitten and a christmas tree (covered in LOTS of glass ornaments, no less!). I have to say, I've been pleasantly surprised at how quickly Willie has taken to his little sister. I think her company will be very good for him! I'm working from home today and Friday, so they'll have lots of bonding time together, and other than when she decides she's starving and needs Willie's food, she respects the baby gate (and even when it isn't up, she's been retreating to "her' room more). The adjustment couldn't be going better!! What a good boy!

Okay, gotta sneak in some cuddles before hitting the shower!! The "offer" presented in yesterday's Loose Lips condo is still available if anyone is interested... we'll be keeping it open at least for today and possibly tomorrow too! Thanks so much to all that have participated. Lots of little somethings have turned into something quite wonderful. :-D :-D :-D

I'm glad the kitties are getting to know each other so quickly. One big purry family! Oh yes, the tree will be interesting!

Beautiful AMPS for Willie today! It's an almost :mrgreen: . Just a wee bit more, ok Willie? Think :mrgreen: !

With 8 cats in the house, I had to purchase the plastic, non-breakable ornaments for our tree. I, too, like glass ornaments, but won't chance that with this many.

I'm glad that both kitties are bonding so nicely! Some cats get along better with others than other cats. I think you're blessed to have found such a kitty. WTG!! :-D

Have a good day, and give them both snuggles from us all too, please. :-D

Beautiful start for Willie! I am so glad the transition is going smoothly and Willie is tolerating his little sister. Sounds like it is going as well as it could. Great job!

Ah yes the kitten in the Christmas tree. We did away with all of our glass ornaments when Tarragon was a kitten because he was a tree climber. He also liked to take the ornaments off and bat them against the walls. Good luck!!

Much better numbers this morning! That is one of the better introductions i think i've heard of. WeeDub will soon love her to pieces! Ah, the tree! May I suggest monofilament line to the wall (2 points) and hollowed out walnuts for the lower branches. Those make pretty good cat toys too! :lol:

With that 41 being this early in the cycle, I decided not to mess around and went straight to high carb. Which I also gave to La Herbie. Egads. She's now streaking from room to room... I think it was the equivalent of giving a toddler a king sized candy bar!!! :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock:

Green looks good on you, but a little higher please, Willie! Herbie is ADORABLE, Christie! I'm a little partial to orinch kitties... ;-) I hope the adjustment continues to go smoothly.

Hi guys .. look at willie go this morning! Guess big brother's got something to prove :-D So glad the adjustment is going well .. When we had our boy cheddar (GA) around Christmas we could not find him anywhere ... well that is until we plugged in the rotating Christmas tree stand .. we knew that would bring him .. and sure enough, it did .. it brought his head out eye level to us .. that little stinker had climbed his way up INSIDE the tree and had been NAPPING there :lol: :lol: have a great day!

Very funny stories about kitties and christmas trees! :lol: :lol: I'm glad to hear Willie and Herbie are working things out. It looks like it will be good for Willie, very entertaining.

Spent two hours this afternoon working with a sleeping Herbie in my lap and a sleeping Willie on the back of the couch. When I finally had to get up for shot time, I put Herbie on the back of the couch (mainly b/c she kept crawling back into my lap and going back to sleep! :lol: :lol: :lol: ). She and Willie were face to face, and he put his head forward and she came towards him and started grooming him.... and he let this continue for a couple minutes!!!

I have to say, I got more than a little choked up. If Willie was being a crankpot, that was always Miss Jezebelle's method of disarming his crankiness. Made me wonder if Lil Herbie was getting Willie advice from across the bridge.

I almost got a video, but wasn't quite quick enough. What I did catch is being finicky on you tube... I'll post it when it's up!!

Looks like Willie spent a bit too much time in the 40s today and is a bouncy bouncy bugger tonight! Hoping he stablizes and doesn't go too much higher. I did take a dosecrease as he was in the low 40s both early and later in the cycle and I know he'd have dipped lower without intervention. I considered shooting through the bounce, but with me being at tbp all day tomorrow (and if I leave early enough, heading to the gym afterwards), I didn't want to risk leaving him alone with an overflowing shed.

The kids have been snoozing much of the evening, which makes me a bit nervous as to how rambunctious they'll be once the bean decides to hit the hay.

Sorry I haven't made it to many condos the past couple days. I've had the wonderful problem of a wildly successful Operation C.D. (see yesterday's Loose Lips) taking up quite a bit of time! :-D :-D :-D Will be posting details soon!!
