I hope this is NDW!! (maybe combined with eating nighttime food just before AMPS). So discouraging! Otherwise Rusty is fine. We had a good shot, breakfast (grazed on), lung treat (eaten enthusiastically), and a schmooze. Now a nap in his little bed by the radiator.
Our furnace wasn't working early this morning, but we managed to get it going. We have been having problems with it ever since it was "serviced" this fall. On Monday we will call and schedule a service visit. Can't let Rusty's radiators get cold!! (or ours!!!) Fortunately the weather is supposed to be relatively mild this weekend.

Off now to the farmers' market. I plan to bake a pumpkin cake for the outdoor club's monthly potluck tomorrow and need a pumpkin or squash.

PErhaps the piano tuning yesterday got to Rusty? ;)

Actually, though, I know we all feel as if we live and die by those color boundaries, 309 is just into the blue. But I do hope Rusty throws a better number at you later. And that you find your pumpkin!

I hope Rusty starts working that juice and comes down for you soon. I hope you get your radiator working properly.

OMG! :o What will Rusty (and you) do without the radiator? ohmygod_smile And was that a stinky pinky number? Work that jooice Rusty, the party's coming!

We had issues with our furnace service visit this fall too. They had to come back twice to get it sorted and the first guy we will never let in our house again, he was a total creep. And, we suspected he did a little something to mess with the furnace.

Much better start tonight. How about a slow slide down to the blues and maybe even a dip in the lagoon tonight Rusty?

Good luck with the pumpkin hunt. I baked up our Jack O Lantern. Pumpkin cake sounds good.

Hi again,
Rusty went back up to yellow, but stayed steady for PMPS, so hopefully he will decide to go down tonight. The furnace has been working, so I hope that it was just a glitch (we have had them before). In any event, it was too warm today for it to do much. I never did get to baking the cake and will have to do it tomorrow morning. Instead I made a soup out of the rest of the pumpkin-like squash (which looked like a green pumpkin and tastes like a pumpkin).

Sorry to miss condos this afternoon. It was such a nice, Indian Summer day, that we went for a long walk.

Hi Ella! Yummmmm to pumpkin squash soup :-D That would have been perfect here tonight after shovelling snow on and off all day :lol: Way nicer number for Rusty to start his PM cycle. Hope to see him slide into a nice blue/green tonight!

Hi Ella -

I so love Indian Summer days. I am glad you were able to get out in it. It had to have been nice. I too will hope Rusty shakes of these numbers and gets back to Rusty numbers.

OH OH on the furnace. I hope all is well there - we simply can't have Rusty's radiators go cold. :shock:

Nice on the soup. YUM!, and I'll be right over. :lol:

No worries on the condos. I so know how that goes. I had such good intentions today, and here it is 8PM, and I've hardly visited anyone. I just don't know where the day goes sometimes. :roll:

Yup, the day just went! Rusty is hanging in flat yellow now, so maybe that means that the NDW is over and he will come back down. Then again, maybe not! We watched "The Iron Lady" tonight (Netflix): depressing; hated it!

See you all tomorrow. The full beaver moon awaits. The moon tonight is brilliant.

I agree on the Iron Lady, watched it on a trans-Atlantic flight and fell asleep. Meryl Streep is fabulous but it was a truly depressing tale.
