Bouncing, bouncing! Now he'll probably drop, big time. Otherwise all is well here. Rusty had a pretty good night (one coughing spell). He was eager for his breakfast this morning, but I think he was disappointed that it wasn't Dave's 95% turkey & turkey liver. I'll have to pick up some more of that when we're in NYC next week.
It's a beautiful sunny day here. Cold early this morning, but warming up (42 degrees now). We're about to head to the post office. bbl,

Wishing all a good day and sending vines to all in need. Thinking of Neko's SRT and hoping that all will go well today.

I think that Rusty's coughing spell (which was more severe than usual and occurred about an hour before we got up) may have spiked his bgs. Here we are at a relatively "normal" number for +5.

Rusty has chronic congestion: coughing and sneezing to "get up the gunk" is not unusual. We have had him checked for it often (and last spring by an IM specialist) and he does not appear to have asthma or other respiratory illness. His life before he was found wandering the streets of Plymouth MA in 2008 is not known, and we do not even know how old he is (I suspect he is about 16). He was found to be diabetic when taken to a shelter in 2008, so of course we don't know how much earlier than that he could have become diabetic. Rusty was fostered for about 2 years by Claudia (cjleo), who got him regulated, adopted by Phoebe, whose other cats were terrified of him, and re-homed to us through DCIN in November 2010 (our "anniversary" is Nov. 28th). He is a wonderful kitty!

Off to do some shopping, bbl,

So much for the spike theory. It was a bounce, and now another one after the steep drop. Nonetheless, Rusty had a good day and enjoyed the sunshine, his combings, had good appetite, and had a nice long nap in his cube.

I love the story of how you acquired Sir Rusty- yes, he is one regal and wonderful cat, but you and Edward are also wonderful beans! :bighug:

Hope all goes well at your upcoming check up with your surgeon and hope you're still feeling good!
