Thanks to all that visited me yesterday. I am sorry I didn't have the chance to answer you all. it was such along and late day. I did read them all. you guys are great!

I hope everyone had a great Furday. Mine was so busy and so crazy, but we all had a great time. Swimming went well last night for the little guy - fun, but wow was he ever tired after that. sheshhhh - me too for that matter. Sure as fun though. He really seems to enjoy those evening swims, the intensity level for them is off the chart. can one say SUPER ENERGIZER FISH? We spent the morning at my DMIL, for a short visit. She had just returned from a trip to Africa, and wanted a little Grammie time with the boys. We had a great time. She's really good with the boys. After that we made an afternoon trip to the Aquarium. The weather had turned nasty by that time, and an indoor venue seemed the best choice. Nicholas loves the Aquarium, so off once again to see the fishies, and the Octopi. They have two big ones there, and they were very active yesterday. That was alot of Fun for Nicholas. We had an interesting drive out of Seattle. In all my years of living in or near Seattle I have never ever been held up in traffic by a train, within the city. Yesterday we were, for 30 minutes! The tracks run along the waterfront, and to get to the main freeway one has to cross them and head up through town. LOL: not yesterday.... had to wait for a very longggggggggggggggggggggg train to pass. Two of them in fact. Nicholas was in train heaven.   We really had a great day yesterday. It was long, but packed with fun.

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!!   It is oddly quiet here this morning.... too quiet.... the calm before the storm? More like the calm after the storm.... It seems this is the norm every Caturday... hmmmm... somehow I remember writing this last Caturday too. What is up with the quiet Caturdays???? ;-) :? She ran alot, she always does, but nothing was Lola-ized. AWESOME! She's still dumping all the trash cans looking for those little foil balls from my wrapped chocolates.  Silly cat. I'm still finding those foil balls all over the house.  but ---- once again the plants were spared! all were safe and sound in their pots when I got home last night. Good kitty! Bug let Nicholas pet him again yesterday. That was really nice. GO BUG! It looks like I may have to get Bug back to the vetty again, it seems his kitty acne is back, right now a very mild case. dang it! I will try to treat that at home though before taking him him. Elsa has been such a good kitty, but I can so see her age in her. Hard to believe she is 17.5 years old. A sloe mover that one, but still dishing out the cuddles and the purrs. Love ya Elsa. Yupp, I guess I can safely say:
Normalcy in MusketeerVille!!

Have a great day everyone. it is a for sure catch up day here: shopping, errands, laundry and some cleaning. And recovery time. I thoroughly enjoyed having both boys these past three days, but need some regroup time.  So that shall be today. That and an afternoon walk, to the shore I hope! I will also be spending some time with Erin, Jason and the boys. They are still working on a room redo, and could use a little help today to try and fishing things up. YAY! More time with Nicholas and William.

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!! cat_pet_icon

Hi, Michelle, good morning! ~O) ~O) ~O)
What a fun day! It's so nice you have an amazing aquarium nearby as a poor-weather back-up. How cool the octopi were active ~ such cool animals! I hope Bug's acne doesn't get any worse. Do you have any home remedies that you've tried? Our civvie Smokey had a bad breakout years ago, due to new-house-stress. I think we had to use prescription meds to help clear it up. I love what you said about Elsa: she's such a sweet kitty. And so wise. You can see it in her beautiful face.
Give your 3 furkiddos scritches for me, and I hope you have a wonderful Caturday!

Morning Josie ~O) ~O) ~O) THX, it was a great one yesterday, just very long and very busy. ;-) I think so too on the Aquarium - it is good, and a wonderful place to go when the weather isn't so nice. I bought a yearly pass, so the expense too is very little. Me too on Bug's acne. I still have some of the prescription stuff we used when he first came down with that. I have read too that Stridex (mild one, think that it the name) can be used too. Other than that, no home remedies, short of keeping his chin clean. We've tried different types of bowls, and whether it is plastic or metal or ceramic, it doesn't seem to make a difference: he still gets it. ah thx on Elsa... she is such a good cat. As you say: sweet and wise. Our matriarch. Will do on the scritches!! :-D :-D

Hi Michelle,

Looks like a busy, fun day was had by all! Those boys are just adorable :-D Wow on a 30 minute train

I, too, can see the age in my Cleo. I think you notice it more when there are youngsters running all over! But, still enjoying life and feeling good! She will be 16 next month. I had a kitty who developed acne on and off (my GA Misty) and she would let me rub her chin with a warm, wet facecloth a few times a day. It seemed to help it clear up. I tried the Stridex, but she didn't like the smell.

Have a fun day with the boys :-D

Hi Jane ~O) ~O) ~O) Sorry I didn't get to respond to your visit last night. We did indeed have a fun one. THX on the boys - I think they are kinda cute too. And they're good kids. ;-) oh yeah on that train. it was the LONGEST train I have ever seen. shesshhh! I think so too on the hold vs the young, and having them both. I never really thought about it much when it was Mannie and Elsa and BJ. They were all seniors. THX on the tip on the kitty acne and the washes. I may just try that route, as Bug really doesn't like the smell of those meds either. It's stressful for him. THX on today -it should be fun. :-D

Peppermint, white chocolate, caramel and fudge....oh my!

LOVE to read normalcy in Muskateerville! Hope you have a wonderful Caturday. :YMHUG:

It's nice you have the aquarium to go to on messy weather days. It looks like such a neat place. I'm glad the kitties are doing well, with the execption of Bug's acne. I hope that clears up quickly. It is hard to see our kitties get old, but they can be so sweet and loving the older they get.

Hi Anne ~O) and YUPP: Peppermint, white chocolate, caramel and fudge! PRIMO! Talk about a sugar rush.... THX on today, it was a nice one. And yes, it feels food too to be able to type normalcy in MusketeerVille.

Hi Carla ~O) I am glad, and lucky, for that aquarium. It is such a good fallback place to go on bad weather days, and the boys love it. Nicholas interacts so much more now that it is really fun. THX on Bug,and his acne. Me too. At least it is a mild case, so we should be able to take care of it at home. Paws crossed. I so agree on what you wrote about or kitties getting older - that describes Elsa perfectly. :-D

Good evening, Michelle,
Your day yesterday sounded like such fun was had by all. You really are lucky to have that Aquarium. Always something new to see there for Nicholas and William. Neat also that they could have some time with your DMIL.

I hope you got out for your walk today and also had fun helping with the home repairs by keeping the kids occupied.

Elsa is a wonderful kitty and she is doing very well adjusting to the two young ones. And, she makes great coffee!! Thank you, Elsa!!

I hope you find a mild remedy for Bug's acne. Maybe try WitchHazel? I don't think it would hurt him.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend,

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Hi Michelle! Sounds like you were going to have another busy day today! Hope you got your errands and chores caught up and maybe even a little break in there somewhere :-D So funny about those little foil balls! That is one busy kitty  One of my civvies was getting acne on her chin and hated the smell of the hibitane wash that I was using, but seemed to really enjoy the warm washcloth on her chin. I decided to nix the hibitane and just carried on for several days with the washcloth. Her acne cleared right up. I think she was getting hers from plastic dishes, so I also changed over to ceramic and metal dishes.
I know what you mean about seeing the age in Elsa. They slow down, get sweeter than ever and we cherish everyday with them just a little more  With my guy, I noticed it in his face and eyes first. I had him for 19 beautiful years. We figured he was 2-4 years old when I first got him so he was at least 21 years. That silly old man just trucked through life like it was a cakewalk  Sure do miss him.

Have a great night Michelle! I imagine you will sleep very well after the last few super busy days :-D I-)

Hi everyone! I am SO EXCITED!!! My FDMB calendar arrived in the mail today. I love that calendar! How awesome to have all those gorgeous LL kitties in one place. It is also so great to see our GA's too. I remember them all, miss them as much.

Hi Ella - it was! It was so so busy, but we all had a god time, made the day work, even with it being as bust as it was. I so agree on the Aquarium. I too love it there,. There is so much for the boys to learn, and Nicholas rally enjoys the interactive things they have there. The octopus are great too. So so COOL to see them as active as they were yesterday. It was good to see my DMIL. She is very good with them. Today was good, even though I didn't get out for that walk. too bad, but OK, and we will go tomorrow. THX on Elsa. She is such a wonderful kitty. And I AGREE! She does make the best coffee! Mannie trained her well. THX too on the witch hazel suggestion. I will look into that, give it a shot. It would beat subjecting him to medical pads that he just doesn't like.

Hi Kim - Yes, it was a busy one today. Not as bad as yesterday, but busy! And we had fun too. I could not agree more on Lola - it is NON-STOP with her, always into something. I'm sure her minds is potting even while he sleeps. BEY GOOD to hear that just a warm washcloth helped your kitty. Bug's case is a mild one, so maybe that would be all that he needs: just to keep it cleaner than he can. THX n Elsa - she really is such sweetie, and in a way it is enjoyable to watch her age. It is interesting: your comment on the face and the eyes. That is true I think. Her face says age, but in a nice way. She moves alot slower too, unless provoked then the old gal still has it in her. ZIPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!  I love the image of your guy trucking through life like it was a cakewalk. That was Mannie. He lived life, ever let anything bother him, right to the end. He would have made a great 21 yr old. THX on today, and yupp on that sleep thing! I-) I-)
