Yesterday
Wow, she is even higher this morning.
She did not vomit overnight but had diarrhea this morning, not as soft though.

Any chance she has worms? Budge had them once and the only symptom was vomiting many times a day a few hours after meals.

When did she last poop? I believe constipation can also lead to vomiting.

What is the vomit like? Partly digested food?
Hi Bhooma. She started vomiting and having diarrhea after eating a large quantity of butter on Thursday. She was tested for worms at the last visit and did not have them, and she is not constipated. The vomit is a lot of liquid, and food, because it’s so often that I guess there is no time for it to be digested.
I am hoping it’s all from the butter and will resolve soon. I will get some probiotics today. She had some diarrhea again this morning but partly formed, and she made it to her box, in part. Some liquid on the carpet in the next room.

The vet answered my email yesterday evening, very late so I did not see it. She said to check for dehydration and take her to the ER if she cannot keep liquids down. She seems a little dehydrated. Her skin goes back flat fast enough, but her gums feel dry. I gave her more broth. I'll go get Pedialyte and S. Boulardii when the store opens.

I see Bella is a butter maniac also. Nestle looooves butter. I can never just leave it out on the counter or he'll eat it silly boy.
Hope Bella gets better soon.

91 @+3.
I just weighted her: she lost 1/2 pound! She feels very thin. I am sure that she will be hapy to take it back once she feels beter, but I hope it is soon. She is more excited about eating today, she stood up on her legs while I was preparing her food and licked the spoon. And nothing came out since before her shot and first breakfast (Bella is a Hobbit).

So glad to hear that Bella feels and eats better! I hope the butter is digested by now and you see fast improvements! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Will she eat the food if you add some water to each meal?

ETA: you could also try Purina Hydra Care:

Yes, she is. She is also drinking water.
I am adding the chicken broth left from when I boiled her chicken to each meal, and will refill her bowl with it so she can drink as much as she wants.
It's been 8 hours now without diarrhea or vomiting.
I will look to see where I can find the Purina Hydra Care, thank you, Bhooma!
Edit: The PetsMart close to me has it, and also Fortiflora that my vet recommended. I already have the S. Boulardii and gave her one. Hopefully all that will help!

Glad to hear Belle seems to be recovering from her butter binge hangover.

Cerenia is the brand name, maropitant the drug, and it is now available as a generic. Should you wish to get some from the vet in case this happens again.

Thank you, Wendy. She said it would be a good idea to give her some, but I do not have any, so I asked her if she could prescribe it, so i have it next time. I am glad to see you had the same idea, that confirms to me it was a good one!

No vomiting since yesterday, no diarrhea since this morning. she drank a lot, I filled her bowl with chicken water a few times and she drank it all. Her gums feel nice and wet now, they were rather dry this morning. I fed her some of her raw food tonight, maybe 1/4 and 3/4 boiled chicken. I hope she'll be OK now.

Great news! :bighug::bighug::bighug: I hope she is good again. Being sick for almost two days is quite a big punishment for some butter.... Poor Bella! I'm sure it is good to have some cerenia in the house. I also asked my vet to prescribe some. Hope you have a relaxed Sunday! :bighug::bighug::bighug:
