Chispa got a break from testing today because I had to go downtown for an in-person staff meeting. I returned home at +6 and thought about testing, but decided against it. Whatever I would gain from the information is outweighed by the benefit of giving her a mental break from the anxiety about being poked that she seems to be developing.

I have been on the same boat with Chewie. Leaving her alone on days where the numbers don't really require further testing, and hanging out with her just for snuggles and playtime or treats without pokes really has an impact on her behavior. She always welcomes the attention and is less suspicious after that. Wishing you lots of poke-free quality time with Chispa today

I got a +3 just now with very little fuss ... the "day off" seems to have helped. Similar numbers to last night, so once again I'm leaving food in the feeder and hitting the hay.
