Happy Caturday!!!

WCR: All Ps in place. Appy is AMAZING today (anti-jinx). Currently, she is napping on her window bed that is extra appealing now that I draped a heated blanket on it! Mind you, it's on 75 degrees in the house, but she loves her warm bed. The past few days, she's been in rare form...trotting after me, playing with the childproof latch while I get her fuds ready, following me everywhere and meowing at me and rubbing on me and in general, being a bit frisky! I love "this" Shasta and I want it to last for forever!!!

OT: I've been doing some thrift store runs the past few weeks trying to gather items for the Humane Society drive our Earth Club is doing right now. So far, I have lots of bed sheets, blankets, bowls, cleaning supplies, collars, etc. Now, I'm staring at a bunch of socks I was going to give to a local thrift store, but I'm trying to figure out how I can turn them into dog toys! I have 2 more thrift stores to run to today and I need to run by school to grab some music so that I can practice it this weekend. Hope everyone is having a great Caturday!

Sending healthy vines to all our sugar kitties and their hoomins! Blessings!

Nice slide for Shasta today. I hope she surfs safely and doesn't bounce tonight from that drop.

It's always so nice when old, pre-diagnosis behaviors return. Makes you feel like this is all worth it, doesn't it? :-D

Hi Deborah,
You sound busy! It's great thar Shasta is doing well. She looks good in blue.

I've been thinking of stuffing a wool sock into another and adding a little catnip to make nice soft "buddies" for cats at the humane society. I think the socks would hold together without being tied with string. What do you think?

Have a great weekend.

Enjoy the wildlife in your yard!!!

We do exactly what Ella suggested with DH's old socks...one inside the others, fill with 'nip, and tie a knot at the end. The kitties LOVE DH Sockies! We found the Yeooowww 'nip (the same stuff that is in the nanners) in a tub, and that's what we filled the sockies with. In fact, it's time to make more around here!

I love Shasta's report today....keep making Mama smile, OK, Shasta?

Re: 11/15 Shasta PMPS=364 +2=243 +4=165

Thanks for the suggestion Ella & Amy! I'm going to make some for kitties and some for doggies. The ones for doggies, I'm going to put an empty plastic bottle in it. I have mixed feelings about this one...if the doggie is extra destructive, I don't want them shredding the plastic bottle and potentially swallowing it. However, if they are just crunching it for the sound, it could be super fun. I guess the Humane society can pitch them if they don't like them.

Ella, I have to tell you...after I got off the computer earlier, Shasta woke up and started stalking something outside of her window. At first, I could not figure out what she was interested in and after a few minutes, along strolls by a turtle!   Turned out to be a Gopher Turtle and he took up a little resting spot under the bushes in front of my house. I had a friend come grab him and take him to the pond...much safer than crossing the road to the river. Fun times with wildlife!

Thanks, Tricia. I'm not so sure that her PMPS is a result of the drop or the fact that she's been eating like a horse!!!!! :-D Either way, she's coming down and happy, furry, purry. No complaints today!!!
