Hello Guys,


Shanga had dental cleaning today under anesthesia :) He is doing well. :)
His BG was 285 after surgery... Then When I was back at home It was 363.
His BG was 83 before PMPS...

Thank you for being there....

Merhaba Hande,

Please monitor Shanga closely this cycle- anesthesia often causes BG to drop.
Also, don't give him food for a few hours, then only a tsp. mixed soupy with water. Anesthesia can make kitty nauseated.
If after an hour Shanga keeps that food down, you can give a little more soupy food.

Did he have any extractions?

Hi Sandy,

I keep checking him, I didnt feed him for a few hours, then I fed him as you said....
He didnt have extraction, Vet just cleaned his plaques... He really needed it.

Shanga has gone through so much lately and so have you, dear Hande. Glad you were able to get that dental done for Shanga. Hope the dental clears any infection/inflammation caused by the plaque and that you see his blood glucose numbers drop even more over time. Did the vet say anything about how Shanga's stomatitis is doing?

Yes Shanga's mouth seems so much better...It seems that Stomatitis treatment is working :) yaaaaaay...
And now even it seems so much better... He is doing well and says Hi to you :)

Hi Hande, That is an impressive drop for preshot. I'm glad you finally got the dental done. His number should be much better now. :-D We want to see more of theses greens , Shanga! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:
