My Dearest friends~~ I could never be able to thank you all in Lantus Land, FDMB, and DCIN for helping us with the vet bills we had the last few days--Love comes in all ways, and you have showed that to us!
The aspirate test the vet took on the tumor was inconclusive because too little of sample cells were collected..
Vet & Oncologist had a consult with us..They dont know whether it is lymphoma, mast cell tumor, or adenocarcinoma, but the oncologist suggested to do a biopsy & take out the tumor..could be successful, maybe not, would include a long hospital stay, and $6000-7000 at best PLUS Moonie's diabetes could complicate the surgery & she may not even survive..Tumor is at the junction of ilieum right near the meeting of large intestine..Surgery would join the area & she could also be chronic diarrhea, and incontinent.
So for now we decided to make her comfortable and see how she responds to the meds they gave her--
Cyproheptadine 2Xday, Reglan 2xday, Carafate 3Xday...Then maybe in a week or so, repeat the u/s and maybe try for another aspiration.
WE think that the surgery would be too devastating for her and very dangerous, who knows if it would work.
This has really sent me over the edge...I just dont know if I can take all this, the pain & loss is so great.
I once was strong, but I dont really feel it since this DX...
But My Friends here, Your Kindness Is so overwhelming to us, we can never ever repay what you have done for us...All our HUgs and Love always from us! Thank you Thank you Thank you--Maybe all be well & safe.
