Yesterday, Bailey did a big PMPS blue bump. Otherwise, a green day with nadirs at +3 and +5.

Bailey is under a dosecrease threat for Sunday to get rid of these blues, maybe a fat 0.1.
I've got plans for Saturday so nobody tell her about the threat just yet please. I don't want her shark-baiting and ruining my plans. I've heard cats tend to do that.

Healing vines to all furry friends in need. Hugs to all the beans out there.

Bailey's SS looks so good. I dream about Ravan's SS looking like that.
You said on the 11th she was acting agitated? What do you think caused that? Is that normal behaviour for her at times?

She gets blue at amps & around pmps. I wonder if that just normal BG for her. Did you ask for advice to stop the insulin to see what she does?

Even cats in remission get blue occasionally.

I'm going to try to post my picture here to check if you can see it on your post Let me Know.

No, its not working here. I had trouble posting a picture too. I think I ended up putting it in my google photos account and linking from there because it just wouldn't work any other way.

Thanks. Ravan's SS is not bad either. She's just very bouncy, but she does like to get into the greens quite a lot.

Have you taken a good look at your syringes? I think that was a game changer for Bailey. I think @Wendy&Neko had mentioned it on someone else's page so I took a closer look at my ReliOn Syringes. The printed lines are all over the place. If you are attempting to microdose (Looks like you are with the .75), you aren't being as consistent as you think you are because the syringes just don't match up. I took every syringe out of the box and separated only those syringes where the zero line matches with the top of the syringe perfectly, and I only use those syringes now. I started that around 11/1 I would say, and I think that has been the #1 factor that has helped Bailey. At some point, I will print out the ruler @Tracey&Jones recommended and use that for the other syringes that didn't line up well. So far, more than half do not line up so that would be a lot of wasted syringes.

I hope this info helps you as much as it has helped me. Big thanks to @Wendy&Neko and @Tracey&Jones for those tips.

We recommend keeping cats on insulin as long as possible to allow the beta cells to thrive with some support first. We want strong remissions.
Yes, I am not rushing this at all. I've practiced with the syringes, and I have 4 different drop sizes that I can navigate through once she is ready to work with me. I think this will take a while, but that's ok. I'm patient.

Shes prob already read this and is making plans, they read these u know:eek:
Why didn't you warn me sooner?

Bailey's response to a dosecrease threat. "Bring it!"
Attitude galore. Didn't know she had it in her.

Ugh!:banghead:

The syringe ruler only works for BD Microfine syringes. I used calipers to help me get over my inconsistent syringes. I set what it was supposed to be on a good syringe and used that across the rest of the lot. Post on Dosing with Calipers.

Bailey's looking lovely in her bicolour coat. :D:cool:

Thanks for clarifying. I did know that. I was going to use the ruler for the sake of consistency and ease. I struggle to see the calipers so I planned on printing out the ruler and using the line that most closely matches what I'm doing with the other syringes, and then using that as a guide. I was going to color it in, lay the syringe on top of it, and then put it all under a microscope. That's the plan anyway.

Thank you. I like it too :)
