Yesterday's Condo (with pics/video of Willie's new sister)
Whew! What a night! Put Herbie (aka Bit Bit) to bed in her room and made Willie come to bed with me for cuddles and reassurances that he would always be mama's baby. Got up to go to the bathroom around 1:30am and felt guilty that Herbie was all alone, so I brought her to bed. As long as they were each on one side of me, Willie tolerated the situation, but any time Herbie tried to come onto his side of the bed, Willie met her advance with hisses. Of course, she then decided she was awake and ventured off to explore the whole house. Apparently, the giant open room that is my unused upstairs intimidated her and she started crying. So I got up to get her, and because she's still a bit scared of everything, resulted in 20 minutes of me trying to catch her. Back to her room she went, and we all went to sleep (after a bit of crying on her part). this morning, she knocked over the gate while Willie was waiting for breffis, so he pushed her back into her room with more hisses. They seem to be much more "you must learn your place" hisses than anything, though. After some playtime with Herbie, I reinforced the gate with a basket and chair that still allow them to see each other. Willie, while not pleased, is still fairly purry and still very much wants his mama, so that is good.
Keeping Tawny in our prayers along with Jill and her DH.
