? 11/14 Spot,4.5 dose, day5, no drop yet

Hi, Posting for Annette Stewart & Spot.
This cat is baffling me.
No matter how we up the dose, he wont drop under upper yellow.
Day 5 of 4.5 today.
I assume 5 units is tonight.
Could some kitty please send some vibes to Spot in NC & tell this kitty he is supposed to drop his bg.

We checked dose with a picture, we went over the food. We did learn the DE clean protein is putting him up some.
That is on hold for awhile. we reduced his food from 5 cans of fancy feast to 4 now.
any other suggestions?

Well she was thinking he might be eating too much.
4 can is 12oz a day vs 15oz.
Should she give the 15oz?

She should ask the vet what his ideal weight is. Then use a scale to figure out whether he needs to gain or lose. And she should go by the calories in the can, not weight of can. and if 13.8 was a good weight for him, that would be around 260 calories per day as a first approximation. Age, metabolism, exercise etc. can change that figure. The FF classics tend to range from 82 to 96 calories. Let's call it 89 as an average. 4 cans would be 356 calories, so yes, 5 cans is too much! And so is 4 cans.
