Reuben is eating on his own still, in small amounts. Salmon, liver shake and now Recovery (Royal Canin -- 6% carbohydrates; 172 cal/can) . I supplemented calories with tube feeding this afternoon -- he is hungry during the night more that during the day... I guess I`ll leave out a buffet of options tonight, and hope I wake up to see what is going on.

I agree Leslie, what would we reduce to? I am confused and just continuing to do what we are doing.

Thank you Sienne, Wendy, Melanie and Leslie for your visits yesterday/today :YMHUG:

UltraSound information will come next week.

Ongoing Medications:
Clavamox 50mg bid (started again today)
Cerenia 4mg once a day
Pepcid 2.5mg bid
Bupe 0.1ml as needed
1ml coconut oil bid
vitamin B w/minerals

Sorry if I confused you the other day. At this point, I don't think Reuben is quite ready for an OTJ trial. He looks like he's getting there. You have a couple of options. You can increase the carb level of his food and continue to shoot the current 0.1u dose. Alternatively, you could shoot "some" insulin and keep doing what you're doing. The "some" insulin (or sometimes referred to as a fat 0) looks like this:

Hi Alexa, I see Reuben had some green today  of course he just had to go into the low green... Glad he is eating steadily even if small amounts at a time and hope that helps his bg to settle down too. Glad Sienne clarified your dose options, will keep an eye out to see what you decide to shoot.

Go Reuben! Every time I stop by, I am amazed that this is the kitty that read HI so many times and not that long ago. You have done a super job with him, Alexa. :-D :-D
