11/14 Nao AMPS 264, +4 240, +6 147 PMPS 123, +2 100, +4 81

Hi everyone! Vet visit went well. We'll await to see how Nao progresses with the soft stools and might give antibiotics for a few days if needed. In the meantime I'm giving him probiotics and trying to locate the S. Boulardii.

I'll also try to incorporate new proteins to his diet. I haven't change the food perse but the new package of cans I got have the label in French as well, which I have never seen before. The food looks the same to me but not to Nao, lol, he refused to eat it the first couple of times. Unfortunately, it's the only wet food I have available right now until December when a new package arrives, that's why I'll like to try the new proteins so I can give less amount of wet food

Good luck with the antibiotics and the food! It is impossible to get Bell to even sniff anything other than her normal fancy feast cans. I want to get her on something healthier, but some cats are so difficult when it comes to food!

Thank you, Seth! Ugh, tell me about it

I would like some recommendations. I know a few of you give probiotics and other supplements to your cats daily, is that something I should try with Nao? I don't have much experience with that, so any feedback would be appreciated!
The only one I tried was S. Boulardii. I'm in India so my options are limited. I'm going to tag @tiffmaxee and @Wendy&Neko for advice on other probiotics. I've heard other names here like Visbiome.

Were Nao's B12 levels tested? Do you have a gastro-intestinal panel available there in the bloodwork?

Here in Venezuela options are limited as well, but I was thinking about ordering some through Amazon. And yes, I ran a complete bloodwork, everything is within normal levels

Visbiome and Proviable are good probiotics for cats. Visbiome is more concentrated so you give less of it and is designed for IBD. Both of them add good bacteria to the cat's digestive system. The link Bhooma gave you shows the types of strains you should look for if you buy a human probiotic brand. S. boullardi acts differently. It mops up the bad bacteria. I've found s. boullardi in the digestive aisles of a regular pharmacy. You can use both s. boullardi and a probiotic together.
