Good Morning World! Yesterday

TODAY
pm+6 - 114 - fed this number in the middle of the night...
AMPS 196

YESTERDAY
AMPS 243
+3 - 282
+6 - 141
+10 - 70!!!!
+11 - 87
PMPS 137

KT is just FULL of himself this morning - he's running around like a silly 'kidiot' with tail fuzzed, doing the sideways rockin' run and slapping anything in his path. His HAPPY is just sticking out everywhere! I had a feeling that he'd be low last night - Just LOOK at that PMPS of 137!!! I dragged my sleepy butt out of bed at +6 and was handed a beautiful 114! I DID open a can of food at that time which he did dig into for a change! I woke up the whole house but it settled down fairly quickly. All 'P's' in place including the 6th one...PROUD of himself....just 'cos he's such a WONDERFUL boy!

I FOUND OUR HOT WATER LEAK YESTERDAY!!! IT'S NOT under the new kitchen floor!!!!! It's in the small bathroom feed lines! We've had to get things done outside before the cold hit so leak had to take a backseat for a bit. We just left the hot water off until we needed it, turned it on until we got showers, etc and turned it back off. It's going to entail going in thru the floor again but that toilet was already leaking when we bought this place - we had to put patches in to fix it - this leak in right under one of them!!!! We have to take out the toilet and pull up the plywood subfloor patches but it could be much worse. Toilet needs to be rebuilt anyway, I'll do that while we have it out. We have VERY limey water, stops up water lines and toilet inserts quickly. So....DANCE WITH US!!! It's NOT my new floor! I needed to put down new flooring in that bathroom anyway - have enough 'scraps' from other projects to put down a nice laminate in there. It's only 5'x6' with vanity in part of that, probably 20 sqft total.

All fuzzy feetz are in fine form today - Sir Leo's not liking his 'diet' but he's too 'fluffy' 'cos he sure does like to eat. He's a bit miffed that I took away the hard food that was there all the time. He's over that 'skinny, starving' kitty. He's going to be a BIG boy when he finishes growing, weight should probably be 17-18 pounds....he's got a couple more years of growing his Maine Coon mix body, he's only 2 years old. He hasn't sprayed since we rescued him, I was a bit concerned about that as he did it outside before.

BLACK FRIDAY AT PETSMART - BIG TidyCat scoop litter for $8.99 which gets you a $5 coupon back - you then turn around and buy the NEXT one, give them that $5 coupon, litter is now $4.99 for BIG tub!...and you get another $5 coupon...then play the game all over again. My PetSmart people already know I'll be playing the game until I get about 10 containers like I did last year. That's 350 lbs of litter!

Thoughts and prayers today with Roni/Brad/Moonie - come on sweet baby.

BIG HUG to all that visit today!

Re: 11/14 KT AMPS 196 Found our leak! Litter At PetSmar

Hi guys .. awesome numbers for KT! I bet he is proud of himself, he has a right to be :-D So glad your leak is an easy one to fix .. we have a LOT of calcium in our water and seems to break some kind of pipe of some sort at least two or three times a year .. stupid water .. Sounds like a great deal on litter! We don't have room to store that much in our home otherwise we'd make a trip out to the nearest store and grab some ourselves .. have a great day guys!

Re: 11/14 KT AMPS 196 Found our leak! Litter At PetSmar

Hey, Lyresa -

Your report made me :-D :-D :-D - how wonderful to hear that KT is feeling good enough to hooraw (as my grandma would say - That's what I used to get in trouble for doing...on a r-e-g-u-l-a-r basis! ) Doesn't it just warm your heart?!

Sorry about the leak, but glad it isn't as bad as it could be. We've had more than our share of leaks and water damage, too. SO fortunate to have married a man who knows how to do things. I grew up with my daddy being able to fix pretty much anything and scratch my head when I talk to men who have to pay people to come do everything for them. Anyhoo -

Thanks for the heads up on the kitty litter! Our house is small...may have to ditch some furniture and replace with litter containers! We could just artistically stack them, throw a tablecloth over and call them...tables...desks...entertainment centers...maybe even chairs for the kitties and Jessica. NO WAY would I trust them to hold ME!

Have a great day -

Libby (& Hershey, too!)

Re: 11/14 KT AMPS 196 Found our leak! Litter At PetSmar

KT, you are a wild man! I'm loving the blues. :-D Woohoo on finding the leak and the great deal on cat litter! I was cleaning out the gutters yesterday and thinking that I don't remember my dad doing anything around the house. He was a farmer so he had plenty of things to take care of. I "got" to mow the yard as soon as i was old enough to drive the mower. Plus the house was new when I was born so there wasn't much to do.

Re: 11/14 KT AMPS 196 +3.5-144 Leak, Litter & Dead Furnace

Back in the BLUE again!

+3.5 - 144! BEAUTIFUL!!!

Our central furnace just kicked the bucket...pilot won't stay lit. Hopefully it's just the thermo-coupling but I'm not messing with propane to change it. HVAC company said $90, they're on their way. If I was willing to do it, would only be about $20 but it's worth that other $$ to have THEM take it all apart.

Oh the joys of owning an old old trailer buried in the middle of all our other rooms....we should have just burned it when we bought it... BUT it's paid for - no mortgage payments for us old folks...just repairs.

Re: 11/14 KT AMPS 196 +3.5-144 Leak, Litter & Dead Furnace

What a day!!
Good one for KT. Good one for the litter sale. Bummer on the leak and on the furnace! (Our furnace when we had a 100+-year-old row house in Brooklyn had been at one point in its life converted from coal to gas and the gas burner was installed into the old coal-burning chamber. The gas pilot always went out until we discovered that if we left the door to the burning chamber open a crack, it got enough air and stayed on.) (The furnace's name was "Perfect 3458-B". I still remember it. We always addressed it by its name, with respect!!)

Good luck with your repairs, Lyresa!
