11/14 Jax PMPS 94,+2.5 83 *food thief

Glad you got those calipers under control! They're absolutely wonderful once you figure it all out aren't they! I just love the consistency from one dose to the next...no more guessing.

And the results are apparent! Looking good there Jax!

I know you are a fan of them so preaching to the choir here but yes so much more consistent! And I actually had a wonky syringe today (first line was too high) and tried to take a picture of it. I'll see if I can upload it. Team calipers all the way :bighug:

For any curious minds, my syringe this AM was off by about 0.25u this morning. Look how high the top line is:confused: My attempt at a picture :p

Holy smokes! Gonna pay more attention. Have calipers but have been too intimidated to use them until I needed to microdose, but man, you're making me realize that air bubbles aren't my only needle foe!

They took a bit to get used to but now I love them. Sometimes it takes me awhile to get the dose exact. With that said, an alternative is to have a "model" syringe filled with juice or colored water and use that to measure against each day. The idea is to dose consistently and syringe lines aren't consistent enough. So your 1u may be slightly different than my 1u but what you give your cat every day is the same and you can see how the dose works (versus the dose fluctuating, even if it's unintentional). I started calipers when Jax was at 1.25u and I've seen my syringes be off as much 0.5u but more often 0.25u. I also use 3.5x magnifying glasses which are life changing even if my family makes fun of me when I wear them :p

It was one of those mornings where I got the caliper dose exact on the first try
Ooo, so satisfying!! :woot:

Hahaha I have the same ones! My stepkids look at me like I’m nuts when I wear them LOL they’re so amazing though!

Jax is looking amazing! :D Have a beautiful Caturday, Susanne! :cat:

+9.5 92...because Jax enjoyed a hefty (2T?) late afternoon snack...somewhere between +7 and +9.5.

I had picked up Benji's (my civvie) food and put it on the table but forgot to put it in the fridge; Jax found it and helped himself. I'm sure he was so excited to find food in a new spot. He's now sleeping away in a food coma - clearly he is not missing his usual pre-PMPS snack lol.

Benji - my sweetheart - has no idea what has happened.

Thankfully I had switched Benji to LC food so counting that as a mini-win :p

Aww. Benji is a cutie :cat: He looks like Jazzy I think.
And for the food thieving, Jazzy is a pro at that. I'm sure Jax was extremely pleased with himself :p. Little stinker :cat:
