Fattened her dose slightly to see if I can get her to head the right way today.
On a side note: DH just called saying the guys at work found a live kitten in the trash and took it in the garage. If he can find where it is hiding the fur gang will increase by one. At least temporarily.
Got to find her first. But there is a chance she is related to my Angel since his work is directly behind where I use to work and Angel was found in the trash at my then job.
What's really weird about him calling about a kitten today of all days is today is the one year anniversary of Onyx's death and I dreamt of him last night. Asking him to send me a sign that he's okay. Jon hasn't seen the baby yet but if he does find her and she turns out to be a black long hair I'm fainting. lol
Real tempted if it warms up this afternoon to grab a can of stinky fish canned food and a packet of fortiflora and walk up there and see if I can locate her.
But there is also a chance she bolted when they opened the big doors to pull out the work trucks. He didn't have very long to look for her this morning before having to leave for the job site so who knows if he'll ever see her again.
Just gotta pray if she is meant to be with us he will and if not she is safe somewhere.
..because you are like me in that now that you know of her and know that she is out there in the cold, you will worry.
I did find out that the kittens and mommy that I have been fretting over have been provided with shelter. Albeit outdoors but the woman has covered a patio table with blankets to protect several boxes underneath that are filled with more blankets and some foam insulation. She has also moved the shelter closer to the outside wall of her house. She is renting so she can not bring them inside. She doesn't know anything about cats but is learning and is fretting about these babies.
Yep now I know she exist I'm in worried momma mode. Really got to train him that if he doesn't actually have hands on to shut up.
I'm still so sick I can barely move yet if I was sure I could get my hands on her I'd be already hiking the mile and a half to his work. But you can be dang sure he is going to be hauling the kitten carrier in the truck from now on.
Oh and if/when we get ahold of her she already has a name...
Papalotl which is Aztec for Butterfly
If she is indeed black the name becomes Itzpapalotl or Obsidian Butterfly.
Since her existence was brought to our attention on Onyx's passing anniversary. And the Aztecs believed that butterflies were the souls of those that had died.
Her numbers looked nice for yesterday and hope you have the same luck today. Good luck with the cat!
Taking my laptop to the Geek Squad today to see why it is running slow and why I cannot post to any Yuku message boards. I think there is something on it that needs to be removed that the McAfee isn't finding. Talk to you all next week - have a good weekend!
