Oliver is my little shining star because he didn't bounce so very much, yet??!! dancing_cat
negative for ketones, some of the Ps so far.
We moved his shot 1/2hr earlier this am. He's sooo ready for breffis when he gets up and it's sad to see him sit on his table, waiting, waiting, waiting.

He's out on the porch on lizard patrol right now. He's gets irritated when i take them away and put them outside. He looks at me as if to say.. "you know, i worked hard to catch that toy. Since i got it myself, who gives you the right to take it away?"

Please, everyone, have a great day. Prayers and healing vines to all our little ones who feel a little crummy.
xoxo

Nice report on Oliver today!! Sooo funny about the lizards, but I'd take 'em away, too. It IS hard to ignore sad, pitiful kitty eyes, isn't it?? They sure know to get what they want!

Have a great day, guys!!!

Morning! Don't think I have visited your condo yet, been back to LL for a couple of weeks so nice to meet you! Glad to hear Oliver is doing well! I have had a bouncy kitty lately! Scrabble loves lizard patrol too and have had him bring a lizard in the house before, not fun for me lol! Have a great day!

Re: 11/13 OliverTwist AMPS-237

Morning Mary and sweet Oliver, a nice report on Oliver. Oliver on lizard patrol :-D how cute. Mags has her possum patrol. Oh poor Oliver after all that hard work of catching the lizard. I did the same thing with a neighbor's kitty that would bring me little lizards in letting them escape. Thanks for your cold remedies in my condo, very interesting, and I love relaxing baths. Have a wonderful day.

Re: 11/13 OliverTwist AMPS-237/2.5-136

Hi Mary. Great to see Oliver is in the blue zone. Maybe he has something great planned for the future. Before the last two dose decreases PurrFace had a short bounce recovery period. I hope that's what Oliver has in mind.

We have small lizards here also and they manage to get into the screen porch sometimes. The cats love when that happens and we get the same reaction when we rescue the lizard and put them outside. I don't know about Oliver but our cats will eventually eat them when they're done playing with them. I wonder what percentage of carbos a lizard has?

Have a great day.

Re: 11/13 OliverTwist AMPS-237/2.5-136/4-78 fed 9%??

Cool Jewel, an Irish Emerald Green!
Ollie is back in the greens.. I gave him 2tsp 9% i'm wondering if i even need to do that? Should I just try giving him his regular 4or 5% and see what he does?

Thanks all for the visits..
Come on all you kitties and lets get those lizards!!!
Good question - how many carbs in a lizard? Sometimes i find lizard bits here and there. Poor little guys.

Surf Ollie

Re: 11/13 OliverTwist AMPS-237/2.5-136/4-78

Mary,
IMHO, I would stay with the low carb for this cycle. 78 is a good number, stable, not too low, not too high...just right especially for a +4 reading. His nadir will probably be about +6-ish, just plain lc should be fine to keep him surfing right there!

Oliver - kind of a big slide you did there but bounces breaking do that....that wasn't a very high bounce either! Good Boy!!! Keep it goin' pretty boy!

HUGS!

Way to go Ollie! Two days with green surfs in a row. Here's hoping you become addicted to that lovely colour.

Regarding natural raw food, it's pretty low in carbs. Just depends what they had in their stomach. I've that 1-2% is pretty typical for prey.

Re: 11/13 OliverTwist AMPS-237/2.5-136/4-78/6-79

Hi Mary, Oliver, Mark,
What nice numbers you came down to today, Oliver! That's what we like to see. I agree with Lyresa, try using his regular LC and see how he does with it in situations like this. You want to avoid those food-spike bounces if you can, and those nice, safe greens don't generally need the higher-carb foods. This is something you just have to experiment with, so write down what you did today for future reference.

Have a lovely evening. Thanks for stopping by Rusty's condo.

RATS on the 311.
I think the low carb/ high carb thing is finally getting into my brain.
Hi carb is what we give our kitties when their numbers are low and we want them to get up...NOT what we give to our kitties when we are nervous. ohmygod_smile

Hi Mary, Swooping numbers for Ollie today  , yep, best to use the minimum carbs that will work. You are getting the hang of this: HIgher carbs for the cat when you need to raise kitty's numbers, when you are nervous give yourself some carbs. Ice cream or candy has been recommended by some. :-D
