Yes, we will chalk it up to no snack.

Jenny..hope you feel better. Sending you lots of healing vines today and a little chicken soup.

Thanks again for the information yesterday. Going to hunt for the Merrick food today.

you know the drill, feed a small meal and test in 3 hours to see if he brought himself down. Hopefully it was just missing a snack that drove his number up.

Now we're back where he likes to be. It's so weird how low he is normally...if he was on insulin, I'd be cramming LC food down his mouth and testing every 15 minutes. Glad he's back to 'normal'. Why is it that no food makes his BG rise? I would think that it would be the opposite?

nice green!
I was waiting for it

the way I see it, in my opinion and for my own kitty, the low carb food acts as his insulin, hence "diet controlled" diabetic kitty - for life ohmygod_smile

looking great Sue!

yep, the food stimulates his pancreas to release more insulin. At least we know his pancreas is working! Any chance the 133 was a bad test, though? It doesn't really matter, I'm just curious.

We had a cat here who ran in the 20's OTJ. It was the weirdest thing, but apparently it was normal for him. She tried different meters and even took him to the vet to be sure there wasn't anything weird wrong with him. He checked out ok but it sure was strange to watch.
