11/13 Moonie very sick Prayers Needed

So many prayers - this is just not fair!!!! Be strong for Moonie and give scritches and love from all of us, we are thinking of you and praying for you! Moonie needs you to be strong and give lots of love as you go through this, and please try to think positive that it is benign and many vines and hugs from us to you.

Roni I'm hoping and praying the test results will be benign. I hope Moonie is feeling a little better now. Sending hugs and prayers to you and Moonie.

I spoke with Roni this afternoon about today's vet visit. It cost $1,144 and DCIN has collected $865 through the chip-in (before fees were taken out). I will be sending Roni a check for what DCIN has collected, made payable to her credit card.

I had said that additional donations weren't needed, because at the time I thought we were dealing with a healthy diabetic, HyperT cat. Things have now changed. If anyone else would like to donate for Moonie's care, the chip-in is still open at http://fdmb-cin.blogspot.com/2012/11/roni-and-moonie.html. It would be nice to be able to cover not only today's costs, but also at least some of the care that will be needed going forward.

Oh no Moonie! This is so unfair after going through so much :cry: . Tons of positive vines for Moonie for diagnosis of benign, and loads of hugs and strength and calming vines for Roni and Brad.

I'm so sorry to hear that Moonie is not feeling well and has had to go to the ER. Ella and I are praying for a speedy recovery and sending truckloads of healing vines. Thinking positively for your baby:)

She also said she has some swollen glands and a few other lesions. They are doing a needle biopsy now. Roni is going to call back when she know more. I told her to try and keep a stiff upper lip. (((Roni))) (((Moonie))) I know that this is so traumatic for you, especially after all that you have just been through. I don't know exactly what to say about the preliminary diagnosis - I am sure that the vet will have more info for you after further testing. Please remember, though, that the vet's prognosis is not written in stone. There is always hope, especially when the caregiver is as dedicated as you are. I don't know what sort of lymphoma (if that is what it turns out to be) the vet is describing, but Teddy had intestinal lymphoma. They estimated less than a year for him, and he was still going strong 8 years later. The only advice I can give you right now is to just wait, gather the facts, and take everything one step at a time. Get the diagnosis, and then start to look into what the next steps are. The important thing right now is to get Moonie stabilized, gather the info, and get her feeling better. There are meds that will likely help her come through this crisis and get back on her feet, while you have a chance to find out what all of your options are.

You, Brad, and Moonie are in my prayers. You have already proven that you can withstand anything the world has to throw at you. I know that Moonie is strong as well, and she has the power of Lantus Land behind her.

I'm so sorry that Moonie is so sick. You did not need this and I pray that Moonie is able to get better and be with you for a very long time!

I am so sorry to hear that Moonie is having these issues on top of all the other stress & trauma you are dealing with right now. I am hoping & praying for the best outcome (benign) and that Moonie heals quickly & completely, and that the three of you get a normal life back just as quick as can be. I know too well how awful it is when one thing piles up on top of another and another and another and...well, it's tough. I am so sorry you are having to deal with all you are having to deal with right now and please just know that my prayers and support and Good Karma Wishes are continually being sent your way, wrapped in healing vines.

I can't stop crying thinking of what you have been going through these past few weeks and now Moonie
getting sick.
I am so sorry that this is happening to such wonderful people.
I am praying for all of you. You have endured so much and now this.
Moonie is so special to everyone here and you know the special place she has in my heart. Same goes for you Roni.

Sending you big hugs. Don't focus on the diagnosis or the time. Vets do not have crystal balls - you see that enough here with the inspirational kitties and beans. You never know how much time you have. You do what you can, and treasure every day.
 
I am just seeing this and am so sorry - my heart goes out to you and I'm sending so many healing prayers and thoughts - you've been through so much and have so much stress right now - it doesn't seem fair.

(((Roni, Brad, and Moonie)))) This is not what we wanted to hear but we will pray that it is benign and not lymphoma or anything else. Even though lymphoma is very treatable and cats tolerate the treatment well, Moonie has been through so much lately...poor baby...hyperT, displacement from her home, and now this. We are sending many many prayers that you will receive only GOOD news. We are here for you....every one of us and the miracle of LL prayers is there for you.

I was so hoping for better news on the update. I hope the next update will be better. Don't give up hope, Roni. With the love and care Moonie will get from you even if it is lymphona, she could fight it for years and it could turn out to be benign after all. Please think positively.

Awww...Roni, our kitties will get sick when they are stressed. All kinds of funny & serious symptoms will appear. I hope Moonie gets better soon. Pls spend more time with her so that she'll feel safe & know her beans are there for her. I know it's difficult, but dont worry too much.
My thoughts & prayers are with you & your family.
 
Thanks to all who have made continued contributions for Moonie's care. I just sent Roni a check to cover all of yesterday's vet bill. She cried in gratitude when I told her how much her LL friends are doing for Moonie.

I just now saw the news that Moonie is not well. What you are going thru is so traumatic for you all. I pray that the prognosis is good and that God helps you thru this most difficult time.
