Good morning,

Yesterday's condo

11/12 AMPS=220; +1=239; +2=245; +7.75=227
11/12 PMPS=211; +2=158; +4=131; +7.5=144

11/13 AMPS=137; +2=171; +8.5=166
11/13 PMPS=180; +2=146; +4=146

Lucy was purry and in her happy place due to bupe when I woke up this morning, and ate her 1st breakfast pretty well by finger-feeding.
She only needed extra encouragement for the last 3 bites.
She deposited a nice big solid poo after breakfast, so I'm happy about that.
I know she has wanted it out since last night.

I am going to give her bupe every 8 - 9 hours today.
I knew it didn't last 12 hours, so I tried 10 hours yesterday, and she was beginning to feel the pain.
Thankfully the newer dose kicked in before the previous dose completely wore off, but it was close.
It probably depends on how much of it gets absorbed and how much of it gets swallowed, so I want to make sure she stays comfortable even if didn't administer it very well.
Like Julie told me yesterday, I'm going to stay on top of pain. I think Lucy would prefer that.

Good to hear you've got a bupe schedule that works for Lucy. And it's great to hear how much better she is today. Blues are so much nicer than those yellows.

Hi Mariko, I've been trying to keep up with the kitties and their Beans. Sorry to hear Lucy has been sick. Sending Lucy healing and recovering vines. Sounds like you have a good plan for her. She's a lucky kitty to have you as her Bean. Hugs from us.

Lucy loves a visit from Detective Poo on a good poopy day like today.

Her bupe dose now is *fat* 0.2cc.
I know it sounds a bit much give 0.2cc every 8 hours, but I'd rather have it overlap a little than have it wear off, at least until the pain starts to subdue by itself.
It's still within the vet's prescription of 0.25cc per 8-12 hours.

Lucy ate the 1st dinner well by finger-feeding.

I can't believe how patient she is being about me pulling and snipping her mats/knots when she is on bupe.
I got some more today.

Very happy that you are able to keep Lucy fairly pain free...and mellow enough to de-mat!

I think her number is all right considering she's having a pancreatitis flare, although she may not be aware of that now since her pain is controlled.....
She's sleeping rather deeply, but once she wakes up she's alert.
I may do a "skinny" 0.2cc for the next bupe...
