[Jason - Kona's Dad]

I have to go into work today, so Kona is on her own. I normally would give her a tablespoon the Weruva Wx Low phos 0.0% with her breakfast, but this morning I gave her a 2.9% teaspoon.

I have the feeder doing +1, +2, +3, & +4 feedings of 5.5% so hopefully she comes down easy.

I'll have someone check on her to make sure he eats and her sister Cleo doesn't steal food. *fingers crossed*

Kona was checked on a moment ago. She has been sleeping in the spare bedroom where I have the automatic feeder.

The 9am slot was gone, so it’s likely she ate it. Cleo typically is in the living on the coach whereas Kona stays in the bedrooms. I forgot to set up a camera in there to review later tonight. I might try that tomorrow… be nice to know for sure because Cleo is sneaky.

This is good, I think she will be fine.

ugg.. pink, maybe the +4 food broke the cycle too early. Who knows...too bad I wasn't home to test.

Kona peed at the front door today. This was one of the symptoms from when she was first diagnosed. I thought it was a territorial behavior from the other cats that come to the front door. Maybe she was pissed I went to work.

No, the litterbox was accessible, however... now that you ask. I usually clean it and put fresh litter on the weekends, but I forgot. When I was trying to figure out why she was peeing by the door several months ago, I also thought it might be her protesting the box wasn't as fresh.

I'll clean it right now!

Does she have neuropathy?

I have no clue, should I ask the vet for a test on that?

Did she eat all of these?

Yes, all the meals were gone, I checked it when I got home and cleaned it. Someone checked on her a few times today and she was laying in the bed all day. The automatic feeder was on a nightstand next to the bed. I'm about 90% sure she ate them all and on time. Her sister is evil though, ha ha, there is a slight chance she may have heard the feeder, ran into room, pushed Kona aside and ate the food.

You'll see it if she has it - she will stand and walk on her hocks (plantigrade) - or have difficulty walking - Bandit used to sit down after every few feet.

hmm.. I decided to do a +1 as I haven't done it in a long time. I know glargine takes about 2 hours to kick in, but... wondering when she is in the 300s, should I use a lesser carb snack at the +1 than my regular 5.5%? Maybe a 2.9% or even the 0.0%?

The typical onset of glargine is +2 but some cats onset earlier or later. If she is in the 300s and is going to clear the bounce, she could dive as much as a couple of 100 points at onset. Some carbs at +1 could reduce that. Of course in some cycles she could just stay high and flat if she's bouncing.
