Ketone Neg 11/11 (need to test today!)

We were at the flea market a couple weeks ago and I picked up a little battery powered "bumble bee". It's about the size of a silver dollar. You turn it on and it walks in circles. Neither cat was as interested as I was hoping. Well, today JuJu has been going crazy for it. Chasing and smacking it all over the house.

KiKi seems to be about the same as yesterday. She's eating, ok. Hopefully tomorrow is a bit better.

The babies are fed, time for the beans to eat!

Re: JuJu AM 151/+4 103

Kinda, he did get an AM dose two days ago. Also, it's not a trial by LTR definition until he can surf in the  for awhile before going off insulin. Either way, his numbers are encouraging, ty!

Re: JuJu AM 151/+4 103

Amy's Trixie went off insulin unconventionally and so have others. He in normal numbers and coming down after eating it is my understanding you still have a trial going.

Yay on seeing that 103!!! Go Juju!

I hope he continues to settle down - sending green thoughts to your house.

the toy sounds like a winner - but isn't it funny how you can't predict what a cat will like? Mine were given these balls, about the size of a tennis ball but softer, that have a tassel hanging off of them. Doesn't look like anything that a cat would go for. But I guess they think they're prey or something, because 2 of my 3 will carry the ball in while meowing that they've killed it.

Ty, Julie. JuJu has been surfing mostly blue over the last 3 days without insulin. Hoping to see some  soon.

Cats are hilarious! We periodically cycle in some new cat toys and they usually enjoy playing with the plastic bag, more than the toys. Especially KiKi! She meows at me to give her a bag every time we get home from the grocery store.

under 120 is considered normal numbers. :-D

are you feeding small frequent meals? when cats are near OTJ with just preshots still out of normal range, we often suggest giving 1 teaspoon of low carb at +9 or so. That's enough to stimulate the pancreas to put out a little insulin and often that will pull down those higher numbers. If you're not doing that, you might try it.

Interesting, thank you for the tip.

We have been sticking to the same feeding schedule:
PS 2oz
+2 1oz
+4 1oz
+6 1oz
