11/13 Herman amps 54 +3 83 +5 81 +7 79 pmps 97

Look at that little green BG machine :D
Is Herman getting used to the lower BGs?
Honestly, he’s a bit uncomfortable in the 50-70 range in my opinion. Acting either needy, lethargic or hiding. We haven’t had any aggression in some time so he’s obviously getting more accustom to it. He still acts the most distressed when he bounces up a bit after a low…that happened after yesterdays stint in the 50’s. But I have to say yesterday early eve when he was in the low blues he was a maniac! Verrry playful…ripped apart his feather toy, chased Stanley’s tail, hunted my feet under covers. I do think his happy place is 70-130.

Wow! What a change in Herman's numbers from when you started out!

If it's any consolation, if you ask a human diabetic how long it took for them to get used to being back in normal numbers, you'll hear that Herman is pretty typical. He likely spent a good amount of time in very diabetic numbers. Being in normal range is relatively new!!

Great job!!

Thank you! Yes I couldn’t be happier with his progress! His body is absolutely adapting back to normal numbers, it wasn’t that long ago that even a the highest green had us both in a tizzy! If you had told me a couple months ago that I would be shooting an amps of 54 I would not have believed you haha. :D “Shoot low to stay low” keeps playing in my head. Seemed so counterintuitive at the beginning.

Doing awesome! Owen had a 94 today and both Kris and I were terrified  Herman’s progress is very inspiring!
Oh I’ve been there! Beyond starting to understand and trust how we can raise and manipulate BG with food to keep our kitties safe, the greens became much lesss scary when they weren’t flanked by Herman’s BG diving and bouncing making it less predictable. An all day green stretch is less stressful than an hour or two of green flanked by higher numbers. Getting the bouncing under control was a huge relief. He still bounces, just not as high or for as long.

I dream of the day Owen stops bouncing. It is such a roller coaster. Herman is giving us hope :bighug:
