Could be the meter. Might be worth it to try the back-up.

I ordered the new meter. I should have it by next week. The free shipping at ADW is 2 to 6 days.

After the PMPS test, I got an Err when I pulled the test strip out. I put the meter on the table and after a few minutes picked it back up and it beeped with no test strip in it. I'd say it needs to be replaced. I'll have to use my backup meter until the new meter comes.

It's good that you ordered the new meter. You don't want to have constant uncertainty. I took the opportunity to order a new one for myself, too. I've been using the same one for over 2 years and that's a lot of tests!

Nice blues today, Furball! Stay and surf a while in the grotto this evening.

Looks like you will wake up to good numbers. I hope Furball gives you a nice blue surf. It does sound like a new meter is a good idea. Which one did you get? My back up is the Arkray and my original is the Micro. Did you by any chance try a new battery?
