It's been a stressful hectic week in my house also. Alex's numbers have been really random so I was worried about that until I realized that the Clindamycin he was taking was a compound and that his BG started shooting up on the day after he started taking it.But he needed it. Then I realized that his neuropathy was awful so I have decided to give him a higher dosage of Xobaline to see if it helps. (Now that he is fatter again and acts happy it's harder to notice this stuff) He also has this stomach issue where if he is off of Flagyl for more than 2 days he gets really loose stools even with probiotics but he is on so much medication that he can not go off of that it's hard to say why. He has had x-rays and his belly has been palpated and he has a very good appetite sooooo......
THEN on Tuesday evening I noticed that Jackson was having a little difficulty breathing (meaning I have no idea how much but his sides were pumping and his nostrils flaring more than they should be) so off to the vet he went on Wednesday. This is something I always look for because he is hyper-t and he does have heart issues and basically has the same problems as Alex except that he is not diabetic. His heart murmur hadn't changed but an x-ray showed that his heart has enlarged since may when he had his cyst surgery. So now he is on the same amount of heart medicine as Alex and because hyper-t is involved I am adding 2.5 mgs of Tap every other day per vet. He seems to have perked up and his pumping to have finally slowed but this is just how it is today.
Alex and Jackson are both happy boys today, Alex's p' are in order(yesterday he was even running after a catnip carrot he was throwing for himself) and in spite of what I wrote...they both have their purry pants on.
Have a great Sunday everyone and I hope it's a mostly uneventful week for everyone.
Prayers to you and your husband, Jill.
Hang in there Claudia..
