It's been a stressful hectic week in my house also. Alex's numbers have been really random so I was worried about that until I realized that the Clindamycin he was taking was a compound and that his BG started shooting up on the day after he started taking it.But he needed it. Then I realized that his neuropathy was awful so I have decided to give him a higher dosage of Xobaline to see if it helps. (Now that he is fatter again and acts happy it's harder to notice this stuff) He also has this stomach issue where if he is off of Flagyl for more than 2 days he gets really loose stools even with probiotics but he is on so much medication that he can not go off of that it's hard to say why. He has had x-rays and his belly has been palpated and he has a very good appetite sooooo......

THEN on Tuesday evening I noticed that Jackson was having a little difficulty breathing (meaning I have no idea how much but his sides were pumping and his nostrils flaring more than they should be) so off to the vet he went on Wednesday. This is something I always look for because he is hyper-t and he does have heart issues and basically has the same problems as Alex except that he is not diabetic. His heart murmur hadn't changed but an x-ray showed that his heart has enlarged since may when he had his cyst surgery. So now he is on the same amount of heart medicine as Alex and because hyper-t is involved I am adding 2.5 mgs of Tap every other day per vet. He seems to have perked up and his pumping to have finally slowed but this is just how it is today.

Alex and Jackson are both happy boys today, Alex's p' are in order(yesterday he was even running after a catnip carrot he was throwing for himself) and in spite of what I wrote...they both have their purry pants on.

Have a great Sunday everyone and I hope it's a mostly uneventful week for everyone.

Prayers to you and your husband, Jill.
Hang in there Claudia..
GO Binks!

Glad to hear they both are happy today, but oh my goodness, Caryl...
nothing is as wearing and stressful as health issues plaguing our loved ones.

sending healing vines to the boys...and hugs and restful wishes to you, my friend!

Glad today is better, Caryl. Hope you are getting kitty hugs galore. :YMHUG:

Ah today is just today....who knows what tomorrow may bring? That has pretty much become my mantra :YMSIGH: Luckily I love these little guys so much that it just doesn't matter. Lucky I didn't take that other job...things DO happen for a reason.

How are you, DH and Mr. Kitty doing?

Love you!

Thanks, Lisa! I may not post much ...I try, but I DO read them in case there is anything I can help with. Right now I'm aiming for at least the weekends but so far it's only worked out one day a weekend.
How are you guys doing, Lisa?

We are fine. Kitty is in week 4 of Adequan shots. He still pulls up on that left front leg - a lot of arthritis there - but he has been PLAYING the way he did a few years ago. Totally killed a piece of tissue paper today.

Glad that job thing turned out right. :-D Sending vines, snowflakes (virtual only!!) and positive energy to you and the kittays.

I LOVE THIS PHOTO only in this case I feel that I am mamma cat .... It's gotten to the point where I can pretty much tell not only by body language but by looking at their little face what is going on...or not.on it's a little harder with Jackson because he has lost weight and he purrs if I touch him so it's hard for me to see if his sides are pumping of if he's just really purring so his nose is the real determiner and it's sometimes hard to get to. You must realize that I am in complete denial that there is really anything wrong. I just give medication, go to vet as needed and follow them around like a crazy person. I just can't lose anything else that I love right now so I am admittedly a bit obsessive..Ya Think?

Thanks for the wishes Celi and WAY TO GO BINKSY!!!!!

Thank you, Marjorie...I hope so too. The hyper-t sure is a pain in the butt. It affects just everything

maybe it didn't turn out right...but definitely for the best! I saw x-rays of where Jackson's arthritis is and I wonder how he stands up but so far THAT isn't a BIG issue (unjinx unjinx). I don't think I could even consider adequan with everything else he's on but I'm happy it's working for Mr. Kitty.
