Yesterday

Running late today - ugh! Fortunately, nothing crazy-unusual to report. Trix was feeling feisty and playful this morning...I caught her playing with one of her Yeoooww balls (the same nip that is in the nanners)...so cute. Most of the pictures I got were blurry because she was in motion.

We also had a nice little Happy Crap Dash, too :-D .

Now, if she would just stop her crazy bouncy ways!

No chemo for my Dad yesterday - his platelets were too low again. I guess now this particular side effect has caught up to him, and since side effects are cumulative, it will probably be an on-going issue. Fortunately, most of the other "long term" side effects (neuropathy and cold sensitivity) are still at bay.

The great news is that his tumor markers absolutely plummeted! They are still out of range, but the amount they came down is incredible. The doctor was very excited to share this news - he said he was busted at the seams to get into the exam room to tell us! Of course with cancer you always have to be cautiously optimistic, and tumor markers are far from perfect as far as truly indicating what is going on, but it is definitely a positive sign.

On the flip side, he also has some sort of bug, so it's probably a good thing they didn't do chemo anyway. Bugs and chemo together are very nerve-wracking.

We were so saddened to hear about the crossing of both Grayson and Raja...our hearts and prayers go out to their amazing beans.

Gotta get myself in motion....have a great day, LL!

Amy

So glad to hear the chemo is shown to be working. It's nice to have some proof. I hope the beats the bug quickly so he can enjoy the week off.

Great pic. We like feisty too! I have a limp rag here most of the time. Have a great day, Amy.

Sorry your dad is not feeling very well, but that is great news on the tumor markers. Keeping him in my prayers.

That is such a cute picture of Trixie. It's great she's feeling so playful.

Oh my!!! She is such an adorable girl! :-D Give her some scritches from me.

That is great news on the tumor markers! I understand the need to be cautiously optimistic, but that is a very good sign. I hope your dad continues to feel better from the bug! Sending more vines his way.

What an adorable picture of Miss Trixie! She looks like a kitten. :-D So glad to read she's doing so well.

Sorry about not being able to go forward with your DF's next chemo treatment, but HOORAY for the tumor marker drop! Any good news in this kind of situation is cause for celebration.

Sending lots of good health vines and prayers for your DF.

Cute pic! Glad to hear Trixie is having a good day. We hope your dad continues to improve, as well.

Amy, that is awesome news about your dad- fingers, paws, everything crossed for continued results like this one-also sending continued healing and comfort vines and hoping his platelet count comes up and he can shake that cold! :YMHUG: :YMHUG: Such a cute pic of sweet Miss Trixie- she does look like a young kitten- very spunky indeed! :-D

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, what a cute little girl. I just want to scritchy, scritchy, scritchy that Trixie.
Glad to hear your dad's markers are down. That's huge! Love that the onc was "busting at the seams." It's so encouraging when the doctor gets excited.

Nuts on the platelet count, though. Makes planning stuff challenging when chemo is a maybe this week, maybe next week kind of thing. I never knew if I'd be working on disconnect day (if I was delayed) or not working on disconnect day (if I had the infusion). Boss was very understanding, thank goodness. So nice though that he doesn't have the neuropathy. It's the only lingering problem for me. No feeling in my finger tips. (Typing is a pain! Well, not a pain, just a pain...or something like that!)

Still sending light for your dad. It's not an easy road, but he really seems to be doing remarkably well. I'm glad.

Who can resist a Trixie pic? Not me!!
I'm smiling ear to ear with the positive news about your dad's markers! Continuing to keep him in my thoughts.
:YMHUG:
