Going crazy as usual. @-) Surprised by a lovely preshot last night - I figured he'd bottomed out at +5 but he apparently grabbed the surfboard and just kept going. Wish I'd have gotten a later cycle test that day. He's still not too keen on this "shoot low to stay low" thing though and fell kinda fast from +2-+3. Assuming that's why we're sky high this morning - though I tend to think the 449 is more realistic than the 562. I put neosporin on his ear last night after his last test and just could NOT get a bead to form on that ear this morning (it's time for an ear shave - which he loves OH so much  ), so the sample was rather sloppy and the strip didn't pull a lot of blood. Usually it errors if it doesn't get a good amount, but it did read - I'm just not sure how accurate it was. Retested on the other ear and got a much cleaner sample.

Decided to try splitting meals into 3 1oz portions instead of 2 1.5oz portions. See if that helps him level out some. I REALLY thought last night would put us on a roll - even with the fast drop after +2, he didn't fall that FAR so I was hoping we'd avoid a bounce... but apparently not.

May look at increasing this weekend - consensus here seems to be that I should. I think it'll be fine - though I do worry about the few low preshots (and the not-so-few fast drops)... he doesn't seem to like to play by the "shoot low" rules - he likes to dive anyway if I shoot anything under about 125. Are there cats out there that you CANT shoot low?? Or do they eventually settle into it? He's done fine with mid-blue preshots - but the lower ones often result in a dive.
