A better AMPS this morning, but it's identical to one we had on the 10th, so I'm not going to get my hopes up.

The veterinary office where we take our pets, and the one Amy works at are two different places, so I'm thinking they have different techniques for this process, but no mention of special instructions was given when my mother called yesterday afternoon, so I assume he's good to go in as he would normally. I'll knock his insulin down just a touch to be on the safe side, though.

Rufus is acting fairly normal, but favoring the leg still. That's to be expected. Usual "feed me" tail language, though! (I can count the number of times my boy has lost his appetite on one hand).

Off to my All Important Opposable Thumb Occupation (also known as the organic can opener).

Re: 11/12 Rufus AMPS 265

Morning! Sunny yellow start to the day for Rufus .. hope you figure out what is going on with his leg ... poor baby .. anyways, have a great weekend guys!

Well, it was a case of Crouching Infection, Hidden Abscess. He's such a hardcore kitty, my neighbor was pressing on his paw, squeezing it - doing everything she could to get the feel of it, and he only gave one, tiny vocal complaint.

At the vet, he was given a shot of two antibiotics, and we were given Amoxicilin for the infection and more Burprenex for pain. Looking forward to getting his infection under control and getting those numbers back where they belong!

... and we're feeding a few minutes early tonight. Someone is feeling much better and would like his dinner, please (and by "please" I mean "now").

Have a good one, everybody.

Bee, I'm so glad you got an answer about his paw. I hope the antibiotics take care of it quickly, and he feels better soon! That does explain his numbers too.
