Yesterday, black AMPS to green PMPS!

Woohoo, not only did Papaya manage to surf for the evening after a green PMPS last night instead of directly bouncing, she stayed right down there for a nice start this morning.

It was not such a nice start for ME, though, since the good numbers maybe make her a bit too lively, and I found I was giving an injection to "Shredder" this morning  As soon as I poked in the needle, she spun around and launched herself at my arm. I had to laugh, though, because you know how they say you shouldn't drive while drinking a coffee since your instinct will be "don't spill the coffee" instead of slamming on the brakes if needed? Well, my instinct is "don't mess up the shot" so with blood soaking through my sleeve from the new gash on my arm I still managed to retrieve the syringe, get a fresh grasp on the cat, and properly give the shot

I hope everyone else is off to a much calmer start this morning!

That's a nice start for Papaya this morning. I'm glad you were able to get a good shot in. Sorry about your arm. The things we do for our kitties. I hope she surfs safely today.

Hi Amy ~O) ~O) ~O)

wow, an awesome start for Papaya today. A very nice evening too. It is so cool that there wasn't a bounce this morning too. I always loved it wen that happened. Mannie would either continue on, or go stratosphere. There never was any middle ground. ;-) Surf well today Papaya.

Wow on the arm. But I can see myself doing that too. Gotta save that shot!

Enjoy your day today. I hoe all goes well.

Hi Carla and Michelle! It's always nice to be expecting a bounce and not get one . . . although I have mixed feelings about leaving her in green on a work day :? Michelle, it sounds like Mannie was just the same as Papaya - no middle ground is right!

I gave her some MC before I left, and put LOTS of food out (regular mixed with the MC). With Papaya, even eating a bunch of MC won't send her as high as going low then bouncing would! She'll be happy too, since that turkey & cheese shreds stuff is her very favorite. When I put the food down before I left, she wasn't ready to snuggle under the covers yet - was just sitting there keeping an eye on the food. I'm sure she started to chow down as soon as I left, but there was more than she would eat at once so she'll be safe to surf today.

Hi guys .. way to be a trooper and work through the pain  Mocha gave us plenty of new scars during her two years on insulin .. our arms will never be the same! have a great day guys!

Hi Devon! I remember some lady who obviously didn't have cats expressing surprise once that my cat had scratched me and I still had the cat. Um, yep, they're sharp and we're not, so that kind of happens!

But considering how much blood I get from Papaya I guess it's only fair that she turns the tables once in a while

Papaya was quite the little piggy today and ate EVERYTHING I'd left out, so she's pretty much already had as much as she usually eats in a day. PMPS is high, but hey at least it's not in the 500s or off the meter! She was out to the kitchen for supper and not too full to eat another portion!

Oh Amy! Your poor arm  Love your analogy on not spilling the coffee. Made me chuckle as well as the lady being surprised you still have the cat  Cat people are truly special people. I was so happy to see the lovely cycle without a bounce,..then 'boing'...Yuck! Ok Papaya, work it out in this cycle and let's get back to bidness!!
Have a wonderful night Amy! :-D
