After yesterday's curve day, I'm now experimenting with giving Junga LC spiked with Karo at +1 and/or +2 to see if we can keep his BG from cratering at about +2. On Sunday I should have time for a test at +3 to get a better idea of how he's doing.
This morning he was super wiggly for his AMPS; ended up spoiling a strip because he wiggled as I was trying to get it to sip up his sample. I wonder if that was just hunger, or if his higher BG had something to do with it?
Note: I'm not using gravy food as HC because Junga has a wheat/corn/who knows? allergy and I don't want him throwing up when his BG is low, or getting super itchy and needing cortisone baths. He's also super-fussy about canned food, rejecting most of it. Canned duck (which he loves) spiked with Karo is my current work-around.
