Yesterday was certainly a rough one, but Jack seems much better this morning. Never thought I'd be so happy to see a pink number in the AM, but after all that red yesterday, it's quite a relief; especially since he was just into the yellow late last night at +9pm. He actually was looking and acting pretty good overnight starting around the +6 pm time frame. At +9 he was prowling the kitchen with his kittens so that was also a good sign. He is pretty much back to his normal self this morning, came to the usual spot he sits in, waited for his breakfast, and ate a decent amount of his normal breakfast buffet of kibble mix (Elsey's and Ziwi Peak) and pate. He took a stroll, used the litterbox (pee only- waiting to see what his poop looks like) and settled in the family room in his usual spot. He's awake, alert, and watching the song birds eat on the back deck. He has not had any additional meds this morning aside from his regular 7 units of insulin. He has visited the water fountain several times so that's also a relief since he took 200mls of fluids yesterday. I'm just hoping for a quiet Sunday of sitting on the couch, drinking tea, and watching stupid TV programs. I've decided to take the day off from all unnecessary chores!
