Last week's post
A little higher than usual this week, but still green so we're ok with that. I wonder if the Amlodipine may have bumped up her BG a little? Anyway, not worrying about it.
Ivana is being a champion about taking her Amlodipine meds (for high blood pressure). Every morning when our alarm goes off, if she's not already on our bed she climbs up her stairs and waits for us to squirt it in her ear (it's still a two-person job at the moment), and then climbs down and heads into the kitchen for us to serve her breakfast. Such a good girl! There has also been *a lot* less nighttime meowing since she's started on it, so I hope that means it's working. She's got a vet appointment for a recheck on Thursday next week.
Some of you may remember that hubby and I foster bunnies and guinea pigs for a rescue shelter. On Tuesday I headed down to Sydney to pick up a new foster, and decided to take Jane the chicken for a road-trip. She loved it! I put her in a laundry basket with blankets for padding, and secured her on the passenger seat. She sat down as soon as we started moving, and just sat still for the whole 90min (each way) trip. She even got to go over a river on a car ferry, and stood up to see what was going on while we were going over the water - much to the amusement of the girl in the car next to us, who was busy taking photos of Jane! I suppose it's not often you see a chicken in the front seat haha
This is the new foster I went to pick up, Jordan the bunny:
And this is the 'extra' foster I unexpectedly brought home as well - Ernie the guinea pig:
