Hello to everyone! We just got our power restored on Thursday after what seemed an eternity. Ct. got hit very hard by the snowstorm and our town was one of the worst affected. In all Ct had over 840,000 homes without power the day after the storm hit. Believe me, a person can get very creative while trying to survive without electricity for a long stretch of time. Gus came through the whole ordeal like a champ. He is the original 'laid back' guy. His numbers remained steady and at a good level all the time that mama bean was stresssed. As you can imagine, there is a ton of clean up to do not to mention restocking all the food that was lost. I will be filling in Gus' SS in time, but just wanted to post quickly today. Patti, I received the calendars and they are awesome! So long, for now. Gus says 'hi' to all his buddies. Everyone, have a great day.
 
YAY!! A Gus condo - wonderful to hear from you. I am sorry for all the power and weather issues, omg... days without power. What a ordeal. Amazing though how our furkids survive things like that just fine, and us humans are stressed to the max.

It is good tor read that Gus is doing well. FANTASTIC!!!

Ain't electricity grand?!! It's awful to lose power and have to live "off the grid" while you're still set up "on the grid". We are very glad to hear that all is well. Gus, you were a good example for your beans!!
I hope you didn't have too much damage to your property. Those early snowstorms are the worst.

Hi Bev!!!! I've missed you terribly. I've become absent quite a bit on the board lately, only posting a condo about once a week when I have the time to devote to catching up with everyone. You are one of the people I miss "talking" to everyday. I hope you're doing well!!! It looks like Gus is having some beautiful greens. Now, if we could only get him to realize he doesn't have to hit every color in one cycle!!! I miss the crooked mustache man, too!!
 
We're so dependent on all of our electric servants and don't even realize it until they go on strike! I'm glad you and Gus cme through it alright.
 
oh SO glad to see you & Gus! sounds like quite an adventure! we had 4 days without electricity a few years ago and it was awful. we love camping, but not mid-winter with snow outside! the spirit of camping adventure is hard to sustain when you're freezing in your house.

squeezes and huggles to Gus! i'm glad to hear the little buddy is doing ok. you got through with your own virus and are recovered now?

yes, we're plodding along with punkin - same ole same ole! you know how it goes! i'm starting to sub in the schools next week and have decided if my son isn't around to monitor him on a day i'm working, punkin will get to spend the day in the car where i can check on him. not ideal, but better than him being alone at this time for the whole day.
