i'm glad he's feeling ok (saw your post in yesterday's condo.) Any sign of his teeth bothering him? Does he have stinky breath - not just cat food but just plain bad?
I'm not sure what to think of his BGs. It's possible he got into blues the night of the 10th after that 201, but he doesn't usually move so fast that you can't catch it in your tests. Could be some New Dose Wonkiness now . . .

His breath is cat food smell as far as I can tell. I am hoping its ndw, and maybe see some good tonight or by tomorrow's am cycle.
I have to schedule his yrly bw next wk, he is coming up on dx'ed 1yr, but only on lantus since may.

at your next appt, I'd ask your vet to check his teeth and see if the vet thinks he needs a dental.
his BGs have taken a different turn - that's why I'm asking all these questions. There's a couple of things that could be going on - i wonder if the insulin could've lost potency. You started a new pen last night - but he did get into the 50's on 11/7, so that might not support the insulin being kaput. If it was the insulin, the new pen should start showing some action fairly soon.
he may have some sort of infection - dental ones are common. bladder infections are fairly common too, but you'd likely see some symptoms other than just increased BGs.
You have have some glucose toxicity going on - his body's just gotten used to higher numbers and he might just need more insulin. But again, there was that 50's number a couple of days ago.
It's not clear to me why he's gotten higher, but those are a few thoughts that you might consider, especially since you've got a vet appt coming.
