Such a nice morning pre-shot of 195.

I fed Sophisticat Turkey and Giblets dinner mixed with 2 Purina Pro Plan Turkey and Giblets entre.

Why did it go so high (480) 2 hours later?

Did you check again in case it was a meter error? Fur shot? Maybe the 195 was a error? I don't get the big increase either....

if its a meter error, its pretty consistent.
195 = AMPS
480 = +2
462 = +4
524 = +6; .625 units R given (AACCKK: friend used U-40 syringe!)
411 = PMPS

Now you see why I was so unsuccesful with Lantus - his glucose is like a paddle ball with a gyroscope and Lantus works better with steady numbers going in and out!

holy crap! That "curve" makes absolutely no sense. It's like you shot glucose instead of insulin. BJ, there's got to be something "else" going on inside of Spitzer.
A U40 to shoot .625? Wow, I had a hard enough time trying to eyeball .5 with one. It's a pretty screwed up day when the 2nd lowest number of the day is PMPS, and it's twice as high as the AMPS.

I agree ... its just that we can't figure out WHAT!!

A U40 to shoot .625? Wow, I had a hard enough time trying to eyeball .5 with one.

That happened because a friend didn't understand the difference betwee a U-40 syringe and a U-100 syringe and used the former - AARRGGHH!! Thankfully, in the current situation, not a problem.

I'm going to show the mathemagic here:
To determine the dose of a U-100 insulin measuring with a U-40 syringe is:
U-40 syringe marking / 0.4 = U-100 dose
ex. 0.25 / 0.4 = 0.625 ... more than twice what I asked him to give.
um ... note that he had to eyeball it to measure 0.25 on the U-40 syringe so the 0.625 is an estimate!

to determine the dose of U-40 measuring with a U-100 syringe is:
U-40 dose = 0.4 * U-100 syringe marking
ex 0.8 U-40 = 0.4 * 2 on a U-100 syringe

It's a pretty screwed up day when the 2nd lowest number of the day is PMPS, and it's twice as high as the AMPS.
