11/11: Still high and flat after increasing doses

I think I've solved Ben's bouncing problems with slow steady increases. I'm waiting 4-5 days between dose changes. But he is still staying high and flat for the most part. (except for night of 11/9--I have no idea what happened there). Any suggestions? It's about time for a change.

Yes, the Night of 11/9 was interesting. Wish we understood that cycle! I do like the pink preshots better than the red and black ones. I think maybe an increase when you can monitor. 2.4?

Thanks, Sue. I was thinking about that. It's just good to have validation. And I always pick a change day to be a day I can monitor. The green line on his SS helps me keep my patience pants snugged up. :-D

Hey Lisa, just going to chime in that like I Sue's suggestion about a slight increase on a day you can monitor. That's what I've done with Bailey, going from 1.5 to 1.75. After another couple of days I'll probably bump him up to 2 units if things keep on like they are. Glad to see Ben's not bouncy anymore!

I like your strategy of the green line! Might be something I'll have to try... It looks like you still do a great job of testing throughout the cycles too, even in the nighttime hours (I find it extremely difficult to get out of bed so the times I've attempted to test Bailey overnight have been failures, lol). Increasing doses can be worrisome (at least for me they are  ) so being around to test and keep an eye out has helped alleviate some of that worry for me.

Greetings to my other bouncy "B" cat friend. Don't give me too much credit for night time checks. I work night shift at a hospital so I'm used to staying up late. You'll notice there aren't too many early morning checks.

I've been following Sue's advice too and increasing slowly every few cycles. Unfortunately, I've yet to find the sweet spot for my cat. It's always such a guessing game and once I think I've got it figured out, he changes things on me. ohmygod_smile

I know the feeling. It seems that Ben senses when I'm getting advice and throws a curve ball. Like today. AMPS was 600+ (Hi) on the meter. Gave him 2.5 U and now his PMPS is 238! *sigh* I try to dance with him but he keeps changing the music. So 2 U tonight and some close monitoring.
