hi family,
i posted this on FB....hope it's ok to post here...i really need your prayers


"OT: Well my friends....prayers needed over here....Rocket's brother Comet is going in to the vet tomorrow (earliest apt i could book)....he has not been himself for a few days and i did a body search on him...to my shock (i'm crying here)...i found a mass(big lump) on his left face between his left eye and left ear.... :( I don't know what the vet will say nor if it is operable...so prayers surely appreciated and much much needed....Comet is our 14 y/o dog....I hope it's ok posting here....i'm a mess as you can imagine.... "

it is a pretty big lump(mass) what i can feel....and he is acting weird and not sleeping on that side...so i know he is uncomfortable...i know he is a dog...but i also know that LL prayers work miracles and i need a miracle here....will monitor him thru the night....

Rocket was high today but i know he ate Comet's food(kibble)....i don't know whether i'm coming or going....he looks tired but is eating on his own...

Oh My dear Friend, I know how frightened you are but there is always the possibility that it is something quite benign..I am Praying so hard tonite for Dear Comet, that it will be an easy cure & He will be all better--

(((((Claudia))))) Wait until you hear what the vet says. It may not be as bad as you fear. We will all think good thoughts and send prayers and healing vines for your dear Comet. I know that your vet will be able to determine what the problem is. Just try to think positively tonight. Rocket will help. Comet will do his best.

I know it's difficult, but try not to assume the worst.....as others have said, it could be something minor and very treatable. Sending prayers for Comet tomorrow and for Rocket as always, and calming vines for you tonight....try to get some rest.

Rocket....dog kibble....really? Don't you know that stuff is only for droolers? Silly boy! (Tinkles loves it too....it will pass... :roll: )

They're doing bloodwork and will call me once results are in...vet thinks it's fatty tissue that said...it has caused nerve damage as he has lost his hearing :( they're keeping him to remove it hopefully today depending on bloodwork findings...it's a hospital and they're busy...vet also thinks the Cushings is progressing or may have CRF (we did diagnostics on the Cushings 3 yrs ago and it was inconclusive so we've kept a close eye on his water intake which has gone up :(
I know he is on good hands but I'm upset to leave him there.

Adding my prayers for a good outcome for Comet. Dogs are just as precious as cats. Hang in there and know many are praying with you for an excellent outcome.
 
Praying for Comet and you - hope the surgery goes well. Hang in there Claudia - thank goodness you found it - prayers and hugs for all of you!
