😇🫶🏼.. well.

today went really really nicely…... ive been tense for days. 👽 the bloodwork.. the urine.. looking great apparently. 🥹😅 i had to also divulge what we doing, this method and treatment etc cuz his sugar was so normal to the doctor and he didnt have sugar in his urine.. (he was like it was 150.. im like.. thats yeah. what i saw too when i got home.. 🤡😂.) so doctor was saying “it looks like hes coming off insulin.. halve his dose.. etc.. etc ..” and i just let it go. 😂😂 just said well.. can i tell u something? yeah… cuz we handling things this way, have had help.. im glad to hear its reflecting well; peanut done really well. hes so much better. he had been so sick. 😭 its helped him.

and doc was so lovely about it!!!! he was happy.. 🥹🥹 he didnt mind at all. i shared a bit more about things and we just talked about everything.. he said he was so regulated etc.. also suggested i get a BP machine for home @tiffmaxee ✨ cuz in the office it just isnt accurate.. and now he’ll be thinking about things because considering all of this, he dont know why the more thirsty and pottying.. 😅😅😅😅🥲

thyroid good, liver good, kidneys good, liver a bit elevated, creatine and BUN good.. but because of all the things we have to do now, ive been unintentionally unable to always administer the Milk Thistle.. he referred to numbers before where it was lower and said go back to that. 👽 ive been trying. Im trying to fit in everything.. 🥲😅🫶🏼 i have to hide it.. anyway he was very happily surprised. im to call with an update in two weeks.. we again dont know why the more drinking etc. Doc said was gonna look into it.. try to research.. we can try a culture, etc and he asked for me to measure how much he drinking but i cant do that.. 😂 he uses a fountain and also w the tablets and my being bad in the past to wash the fountain on time (🥲🥲🥲) i taught him to drink from a bottle and he prefers that now.. 😭😭😭 its something. but good in a way.

im so relieved doc knows.. now i dont gotta tiptoe around haha. and i always knew that.. the bloodwork is gonna say things either way. 🙃

so w everything .. could his freeze dried treats be it maybe? he gets more now cuz of the tablets.. 👽

aside frm that idk. 🥰😕🫶🏼

Sounds good! I'm glad the vet was impressed with your care of Pudge's FD. It's funny how some vets are a bit freaked out by us 😍. I use two vets, and one is a-ok with everything we do--he jumps in and offers advice when I ask, but is fine with my treatment of Jude otherwise; another vet often gives me the side-eye, like I'm invoking demons on the side over here or something. The last time I saw her she said, after I had to show her Jude's sheet, "NOBODY tests like this," and she didn't say it in a happy, I'm so glad you're this concerned about your cat's well-being way; she said it like she was concerned about his well-being and maybe my sanity 😅

I hope you can finally get to the bottom of the excessive drinking. It makes sense to me that the freeze dried treats could cause a cat to drink more, but I don't know for sure. Hopefully, someone else can answer your question.

I find it concerning that because there’s no glucose in his urine and he’s tightly controlled he could go off insulin as he’s getting 2.75. Once Max was on insulin he never showed glucose in his urine. That’s what tight control does. It keeps your cat under renal threshold. I’m glad he’s letting you handle the fd. If you like him and feels he’s knowledgeable just use him for everything else. I’m glad the visit went well.

seriously yuck about the 2nd! closed minded.. 🫤

us too!! ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 he still doing it.. maybe not as bad (?) but idk.. he thirsty. 🥲🫤 could be that.. im wondering if its something possibly in the compounded Amlodipine cuz outside of that.. i really dk. 😕😕😕😕

✨❤️‍🩹.. exactly right.. i was like i gotta say something.. haha.. it would look like that.. i was happy it was showing. i figured something would…… and thats just how this vet i guess handles/approaches his FD patients.. bet that happens tho.. cats just coming off quickly.. says the future is Senvelgo (sp, might u have an opinion?✨) but when i told him tho we do 1/4 increments, he said that was even better than what he said to do.. he was super cool. but thats why all of us are here right.. cuz most of the vets dont know/or mention 🫤✨.. and right right.. its great. im relieved i can be open about it; i think he was really happy.. ✨.. certainly need a vet generally. close too.

He said the future is Senvelgo? That scares me due to the ketone issue and vets suggesting it but not making sure it is safe. I would not use it but that’s me.
right.. 😕 at least be testing them regularly.. make sure how its going. plus side effects.. idk. (any kitties on here on it? i feel like there is a Senvelgo area here.. ☺️..)

Not many here on it. It causes glucose to be e created through urine and not for cars with CKD. Many cats develop fd later in life and might have beginning CKD so to he seems risky.

i heard horror stories (i think on FB) where kitty went on that AFTER being on insulin or something.. absolutely terrible. vet wasnt even that sorry. 🫤🫤🫤🫤🫤🫤💔 dont understand side effects or how to properly administer.. what theyre doing.. but we see that w numerous other things too…. 😕 Vet asked me on that and i said oop he had already started insulin nope and he was like “oh yeah nope..” least theres that. 🥲✨…..
