Yesterday was a yellow start to some nice blues, then a bounce in the PM. Today started out nice, then took a major wrong turn. Lately it seems like Neko goes up as many times as she goes down at the +3/+4 time frame. Any thoughts why that might be happening? For example, with a rising +4 of 349, I thought it was safe to go to bed last night. Maybe not?

11/10 Recap:
AMPS 293 +4 299 +7 141 +9 184
PMPS 321 +4 349

I was away for part of the day, so DH was BIC. After that +4, we decided on a pokie break. He was late calling me with the BG update and I was worried, but apparently Neko was occupying his lap and he didn't want to disturb her to call me. ohmygod_smile

This morning was gray and dry, which was good for the Remembrance Day ceremonies. I took the ferry to the island where my parents live, picked them and my aunt up and dropped them off close to the ceremonies. Then I searched and finally found parking and lugged chairs back for them to sit on. They were too proud to use them. Darn those folks in their 90's! Last year they used them. Only a few older veterans with their medals at the ceremony, my DF, my uncle, and one other person in a wheelchair. Next year my DM and I want to make a wreath to place to honor the veterans who live on the island. The flypast was a little late, but I do love the sound of those old Harvards (aka Texans in the US).

The world stops at our house too when there is a kitty in a lap.  I guess if you live into your 90s then you have surely figured out whether you need a chair or not. I'm glad you had good weather. Neko, why don't you give your bean a good reason for a pj party?

Who thought I'd be glad to see pink? Before I poked her, I did ask Neko if she could oblige with something less than red. Thanks Neko!

@Liz - It's really bad in our house if there are two lap cats and the phone rings. Sometimes we don't answer. The weather held off until after the ceremony and started raining after I was back at my parent's place. Sometimes the rain had shape, sleet, not sticking. My DM thought it would be a good idea to bring chairs, but no way my DA was going to use one if her sister wasn't. At least it was warmer than last year.

Hi Wendy - oh yes on the do not disturb the sleeping kitty.... same here!

How nice that Neko listened and didn't give you a red number. I often ask Mannie for certain colors, especial when DGS is with me, and testing a dropping kitty is just not fun... funny - he always seems to oblige. weird how they know....

I wish I had an answer or you on the +4 rise. maybe a late onset???? I dunno.... Mannie has this habit of spiking at about +9 or so, the head back down before pmps. drives me crazy! With that +4 Neko had I would have gone to bed too.

Nice that you were able to get your parents and all to the ceremonies - it is wodnerful that they went. Too funny on the chairs... proud folks, aren't they. I love the wreath idea - very nice. love to the sounds of the planes.... Nice though that the weather held off for you. Love the rain with shape... oh oh! at least it wasn't snow... ? It has been a downpour here since mid afternoon... sheshhhh!

Have a great rest of the night.

OK - this +4 is looking much better than this mornings! Nice to see blue early in the cycle. Go Neko! :-D

@Michelle - She finally listened to me about going down at +4 instead of up. I think Neko is a later onset, but not that late. I suspect she is dropping late in the cycle and I'm not catching it, hence the bounce. But it's not predictable, especially at night. Crazy cats! The legion used to bring benches for the older folks for Remembrance service, but there aren't as many now, so it's up to us to bring chairs. My DA is 92 but won't admit she can't do things her younger sister (90) can do. It's good to see that they don't give up.

Sounds like a great ceremony - how awesome of you to take them! My hometown has a parade on Veterans Day, and it goes right past my sister's house. I still remember the pictures of my sister, her husband, my nephews in their boy scout uniforms (after the parade), and my parents sitting at the foot of her driveway. Dad SOOOOO loved a parade! He was one of the WWII guys. And although he rarely talked about his time in the army, he was a VERY PROUD man when it came to the American Legion.

Good for Neko - being so thoughtful with the numbers. We've got the same "lap time" policy at my house. I've often left my mom's dog a voicemail on Mom's answering machine saying, "Bess, get off mom's lap so she can get the phone!" Ultimately, we added a new phone to the bookcase next to mom's chair. ;-)
